Football Trivia

Leeds lost that final in 1975.

They did and Frank Gray was a Scot. It’s a different question.

Since the inception of the Premier League, which club has spent the most seasons in the First Division/Championship without ever being promoted to the top flight?

Millwall?

Correct.

Widely available on the interweb, so I’ll provide the link but anyway; which player born in 1986, playing in the big 5 European leagues, has the most appearances (domestic I presume)?

I presumed Cristiano or Rooney, and doubt the legitimacy of the actual answer given.

In any event, all the other years are here also:

What club has most often been relegated from the top flight of English football?

Off the top of my head Sunderland have been relegated five times since 1985 inclusive, anyway.

Crystal Palace, West Ham and Middlesbrough have four relegations each since 1989.

I guess the likes of Birmingham City, Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town would also be contenders.

I’ll guess Middlesbrough is the answer as I have a feeling Sunderland were ever-present in top flight football until about 1960 or thereabouts which would mean that while they have at least six relegations in history, they’ve all come in the last 55 years or so.

Middlesbrough have another 60 or 70 years of mediocrity behind them before that and have to have racked up a few more relegations in that time.

Tough one here. I got 41/80. “Miguel” Delaney got 56.

Got 52

43/80. Not a scooby fucking doo of some of them and still wouldn’t know them now were I to go back to some, even after being told.

48 - a couple I was close on

46, happy with that

I got 4 out of 20 and then gave up, delighted with that.
