Suppose we will have to watch it on live streaming on French T.V at least we wont have to listen to George Hamilton anyway!
Nothing to do with the FAI.
Nothing to do with the FAI.
Exactly this disaster lies firmly at the feet of RTE and SKY.
supposidely rte are sending out commentators with the hope of getting a last minute deal…
Of course it does.
They should pay the amount asked. A tiny fraction of what they paid for EPL rights and costs involved in that for instance. I think sending out commentators for it could be part of winning publicity war on RTE’s part.
The FAI put RT over a barrel. They fucked over the Irish public. Disgraceful carry on.
FAI sold rights to highest bidder. Nout wrong with that. RTE can afford to:
Pay George Hamiton 300k plus,
Send commentators over to cover Confiderations Cup
Pay multiples of amount required to cover EPL
Employ Ryan Tubridy
A disgrace

The disgrace here is that the FAI were content to shaft their own fans out of greed. Its no surprise that they are willing to do this, they’ve done it before with regards to the SKY deals. But that doesnt make it ok.
The boozers will point their satellites to pick up French tv, I can’t see too many people losing out.
Still have a feeling they’ll do a deal although I’ve heard talks have now broken down

To be honest I would say that George earns his money more than Marian Finucane who earns twice the amount and is on radio for four hours a week!!

Not all boozers will have those capabilities. Many areas of the country will be incapable of seeing it that way.
Another PR disaster for the FAI.

I remember the last time that happened against Turkey, the drunkards at the bar were telling everyone to shut up so they could hear the commentary, needless to say I don’t think any of those boys were fluent in Turkish!
Sky Sports have a slot on Wednesday at 7.30 just titled “Soccer”. Maybe they’re up to something we’re not aware of?
How the fuck do you know, rocko could have been one of em.
Maybe because I have known them for years?
