There is no such thing as a short-sleeve dress shirt. There is a precedent, however, for wearing a tie with a short-sleeve shirt—that’s the old NASA-control-room look. It goes best with thin black pants, a crew cut, a pencil pack, and a shout of “Go, baby! Go!”

Don’t be afraid to cut dead weight-—especially when things get too hot. Short sleeve shirts are back in a big way and the style once associated with masses of IBM managers now comes in countless iterations, from safari-inspired khakis to easy options in chambray. This season’s shirts are cleaned up when it comes to fit, so bodies are slimmer and sleeves are shorter. They’ll keep you looking put-together and cool, from the quarterly review meeting to a rooftop party."—GQ creative director, Jim

What about polo shirts (i.e. Collar and only three buttons from the neck) with short sleeves but with the same material as a long sleeve shirt would typically have?

Hard to find a picture.

Something tells me Frank Grimes may have been based on William Foster.

Man I hate that Iron Yuppee

I recently dug a chavish looking polo shirt that me mudder bought me out of my wardrobe and despite thinking it was shite on the hanger I actually like it on. I will be interested to see what briantinnion thinks of it when I meet him for a pint in Smyth’s of Ranelagh at 6pm.

Dont think he likes it. Hasnt commented. Totes awks.
