The only thing this place has going for it is US pre-clearance. A very pleasant officer just complimented me on how fit I look as she admitted me to the United States of America
I donât like the way it makes @Juhniallio lash out. Itâs not that his weakness for gambling makes him any less of a man. It just makes me think less of him.
Pre-clearance is amazing, walk off the flight and if you were smart enough to only bring carry on, you could be downtown in most US cities in 15 minutes. While thousands of mugs are lined up at US Customs.
Iâm back from a funeral in Cloone this morning /afternoon. He woke up Monday morning coughing up copious volumes of blood and was rushed to Sligo and subsequently onwards to Dublin except he expired on the journey. A bleed to the brain although leukemia surfaced during the autopsy. Nobody knew anything of this.
He was 41 and leaves a partner and 5 young children. The hardest of the hards were shaken beyond belief at the scenes. As @Mac said elsewhere enjoy the days with the kids whether theyâre bould fuckers or not. Life is precious.
Thanks pal. Honest to God and Iâve been to many harrowing burials, the sight of 5 young children looking into their fatherâs grave would break your heart. The youngest 2 are hardly old enough to comprehend the enormity of it.
The couple of pints afterwards was just lads looking at each other and wondering how weâve gotten this far.
Yad vashem is a sombre place also, worth visiting to see what humans could do to each other, yet the IDF have the Palestinian ppl in dire circumstances ATM ,hard to understand the bastards
