We’re happy with our Munster and All-Ireland titles. Even five or six All Stars would be a bonus. It’s all about the collective and following the process of winning trophies.

he was easy let out because he missed a game and a bit, if in fact he was left out. Gillane too missed game time so if they had to leave 2 out it would be easier for those two to miss out.

Nickie can count himself unluckiest of those named. Hegarty probably luckiest, relatively, of those named

We absolutely deserve all 15 ffs, not to mind the 12 the boys are pulling the piss about. But to give us 12 would smash all records and acknowledge us as the greatest All Ireland Champions of all time. That would be simply incredible.

Bit of an anti Limerick agenda in the media. The likes of Fogarty and Breheny will never vote for 12 Limerick men ffs.

They’d rather a media ban than give us 12 which would christen us the greatest team of all time.

Quaid, O’Donovan and Hego are all automatics I hope.

Sure every time Cork lose it’s because it’s the worst Cork team of all time, there can be no other possible explanation for it.

not at all but i do think we are realistic in our assessment of our teams and ill quantify that statement by the fact that after Kilkenny beat us in the 1992 AISHC final we only won one (1) game of senior championship hurling between that day and June 13 1999 when we beat Waterford in Thurles… and that was against Kerry in Tralee on the day of the 1995 FA Cup final when Everton cc @Faldo beat Manchester United by one goal to nil at Wembley stadium ( if you recall evertonbeat Tottenham 4-1 in the semi final with Daniel Amokachi on fire)
Anyway… i agree that we were a coming team in 1999- i cant remember if we won a league in 1998 or not ( did waterford beat us?) , but i do know one thing… there was a league semi final in either 97 or 98 when Seanie Mcgrath made a holy show of Anthony Daly… the writing was on the fucking wall then lads…

Ye won the league in 98. Ye beat Waterford before a full house in Thurles. Seanie O Farrell the butcher from Castlemartyr bullied our deaf corner back Mark O’Sullivan and scored a couple of goals that were the winning of the game on a very hot April day.

Seanie is from Carrig and was some man to drink in Cobh after winning those under 21 finals
Carrig had some team back then- christ they won all round them @fenwaypark

Yeah, got 9 last year.

Doing a historic back to back should yield all 15 but we’ll probably have to make do with 6 or 7. There’s a few counties who’ll have to get looked after with a token nod.

The lament for yesteryear is gas so it is… Everything was better before. Everything is shit now. Cry, cry, cry… What’s very clear is Tipperary hurling supporters can not handle Limerick’s recent success. It eats away at them… It’s understandable I suppose. No matter how bad the fortunes of Tipp were over the last 40 odd years, they always had us to kick when they were down … but now that the kicking is the other way around, that the kicked have become the kicker, they simply don’t like it up em. It shows a tremendous weakness in their character - The real kingpins, Kilkenny, are probably hurting more than most in recent years, but you’d only get the warmest of congrats from their hurling supporters… I suppose, they understand what it’s like to be under the hatred eye of Tipperary people so there’s a common ground there.
