GAA All Star awards - sponsored by Ferrero Rocher. The chocolate of champions

Lavey or Bellaghy I’d say. Unless you won it with Ballinderry in 2001/02!

Please. I hate to hear it mentioned.

Great shout – but DMcN was U19 in 1984. His November 6 birthday means NMcG is the youngest All Star.

Dermot McNicholl must have been the greatest boy wonder ever in either GAA Code

You’re a nawful rogue

4 years a County Minor, playing in 3x AI Finals, winning 1
Played in 5x McRory Cup Finals, winning 4.
3x Sigerson Cup.

Captained his Club to a Derry SFC at 19
Represented Ireland in International Rules at 19.
All Star at 19.

A compelling case to be made

Tisnt bad. He’s not far behind Tommy and Beano

Corcoran played senior for cork before his club. Fairly unusual.

Any ideas on football @kerry1891 @Cheasty

Conor Glass did that for Derry in very recent times

Shur a load of lads played County without ever playing Senior for their club.

I think the gooch got an all star in his first year out of minor anyway. Possibly Ronan Clarke and paddy mcbrearty?

Eugene O’ Neill did so with Tipp in 97.

On a similar note Lar Corbett played senior for Tipp before playing U21.

He did. Never played minor.

He’s no Jimmy Doyle, that’s for sure.

Who would be considered the worst hurler of the year off all time ?

I’m listening to Noel Meade discuss the worst champion jockey.

You’re going to open some can of worms here
