Itâs mostly why I agreed to attend.
Some horrific free suits given to Dubs players for this gig. Mannion and Dean Rockâs look especially vile.
a black tux stops fellas looking silly . It stands test of time . A lot of GGA âstarsâ utterly loosing the run of themselves thinking they are fashionistas .
Think thatâs bad⌠Only 2 in 36 yearsâŚ

Enjoy the night, pal. You must be delighted at how PwC have activated the sponsorship internally and externally.
Iâve changed my views on a good few positions since I made the above post in a hungover haze the day after the final.
-
Stephen Cluxton - just about shades it from the excellent David Clarke due to kickouts.
-
Brendan Harrison - beats Mick Fitzsimons, who was absolutely roasted in the All-Ireland final. Harrison got a bit of a chasing in the second half from Paul Mannion but it doesnât compare to how badly Fitzsimons was exposed by Andy Moran.
-
Cian OâSullivan - he was quietly excellent in the All-Ireland final and set up a key point for Brian Fenton. The best of Dublinâs defenders this year.
-
Chris Barrett - an automatic choice.
-
Jack McCaffrey - shades it from Tiernan McCann.
-
Lee Keegan - Was in pole position for FOTY after the drawn quarter-final. Missed the replay against Roscommon and was quieter than usual against Kerry but roared back in the final with an outstanding performance.
-
Colm Boyle - automatic choice.
-
Tom Parsons - so solid all year. The second midfield berth could go to any one of at least three players, and Colm Cavanagh would be exceedingly unlucky, but I think Parsons has done enough.
-
James McCarthy - automatic choice.
-
Kevin McLoughlin. Overtook Ciaran Kilkenny in the final. He shone and Kilkenny was wiped out.
-
Con OâCallaghan. His displays were actually patchy enough but he displayed enough mercurial brilliance for an award.
-
Paul Mannion. Just beats off Aidan OâShea.
-
Jason Doherty - Heâs done more than enough to see off the challenge of Paul Geaney. Tireless worker, did his share of scoring, and always an out ball for Mayo.
-
Dean Rock. Excellent final performance sealed it for him.
-
Andy Moran. FOTY.
You could make a case for that team but I donât think thereâs any chance the final selection will only feature players from the two finalists.
Thatâs politics. Paul Geaney will definitely get one as a media consensus has built up around him, but he doesnât deserve one over Doherty and Rock.
Tiernan McCann might have a shout at half-back given Jack McCaffrey playing effectively no part in the final. McCann has developed into an exceptional player.
Colm Cavanagh is the Tyrone player most likely to make it though.
Why wasnât four nominated for HOTY - is it to ensure Joe wins it? David Burke surely worth the nomination
Yes & rightly so. The King is dead (Henry), long live the King (Joe).
Rigging a vote only in Ireland
Is Barron not a cert for it? If he doesnât get it he can blame Gleeson for that too.
Thatâs exactly what it was for. Its strange nobody here has inside info on who won it. This time last year everyone knew that Gleeson had won
Joe has it mate.
Joe has it since March
Clarke over Cluxton
No Lee Keegan
Well deserved all-star for Colm Cavanagh
Joanne is looking tantalizing tonight.
