GAA Betting 2013

I agree but its par for course with the likes of scumpot

ah yes…the bitter one has finally landed…shouldn´t you be stuck in traffic somewhere between dublin and wexford watching your life go by with your hook nose squashed against the windscreen…just wondering why you never congratulated me for celtic (-2) in cup final bet that came in or Dublin (-7) last week yet jumped all over me when that horse tip i passed on ran a shocker??..do you think its because (A) you´re a sad bitter bastard or (B) because you´re a sad bitter bastard?..

Its © I enjoy getting you so riled up over trivial matters

well i suppose its a step up from spending most your life in traffic…but still a bit worrying…how do you know if someone is riled up if you can´t see them?..

What makes you think I can’t see you?

because everyone knows you can´t see past your nose…

I see your session at the artfoley school of retorts went well

What are you doing dragging me into this? Cunt

Sorry bro. Didn’t get to this until now.

2012: McFadden 4-32 - 7 Games
2011: Cooper 2-27 - 6 Games
2010: Doyle 1-49 - 8 Games
2009: Cooper 1-34 - 7 Games
2008: Doyle 2-26 - 5 Games

So the games bit matters but you need someone who consistently scores 5+ points per game to go with it.
Predicting a winner is much tougher than hurling. Draw is much broader.

Semi Finals this year are Munster v Leinster, Connacht v Ulster.

Connacht
Looking at the draw a Leitrim player would be far from the player to pick given their likely path.
Win Semi final against London, hockeyed by Mayo, lose to a good qualifier in Round 4.
4 games. Unlikely winner to me, despite 3-7 on the board. No value in him.
The free taker from Mayo would be interesting had he not got injured. So if O’Connor is out for some games there is a bit of cannibalisation there of the frees. Similar to Kilkenny in hurling with Larkin and Shefflin.

Leinster
So the winners of the first round were Louth, Wicklow and Westmeath. Of those an interesting one could be Brian White at 100/1!! with B365 if he keeps scoring well and Louth win a couple of qualifiers.
He has 0-8 already. If they lose this weekend they are in round 1 of the qualifiers.
If they lose in the Leinster semi [most likely to Meath] they join the qualifiers at Round 2.
If they win the semi they’ll be guaranteed 5 games. For a team that gave Laois a decent beating and the positive noises coming out of their camp he could be a decent speculative punt. Brogan is short on value. Doyle is 14/1 with B365. Kildare lose to Dublin in the Leinster semi and they are into Qualifiers Round 2. Should they navigate that to an AI QF they will have played 6 games.

Munster
Whichever of Cork or Kerry lose the Munster Final will have 7 games if they make the AI final.
That being said with Cooper further out the field and sharing frees I’m not too sold on him. At 16/1 he is interesting though given his history. I expected him to be shorter. 6+ games and he has a chance. On the Cork side, I just don’t trust them to get to an AI final. They are more likely to win Munster and lose and AI semi/quarter. 4/5 games. So I’m gonna leave them alone.

Ulster
McFadden is the leading light again here. And I think he should be shorter than 12/1. Donegal look like the team to beat still which means they should win Ulster and get to an AI Final. 6 Games. McFadden won by 7 points last year playing 7 games. Down play too loose and should give up a decent amount of scores to Donegal. And then they will face a Division 3 team in the Ulster Final.

The top 4 for me here are former winners and a punt:
McFadden 12/1 B365
Doyle 14/1 B365
Cooper 16/1 Powers
White 100/1 B365 as an outsider.

The original post was pretty definitive.

We can take it that most of your opinions are formed in this manner so because they are consistently dopey. You don’t follow football or hurling so what sports are you in to?[/quote]

Fool I can honestly say I knew more about hurling aged 14 than you’ll know in your entire life. I’ve laughed at a few of your feeble attempts to talk with hurling men on here. You make few of them though, knowing your limitations and decide instead just to insult lads to try and cultivate the hard man image. That is before the now obligatory run to bandage for cover. You haven’t a clue of the game. I’d love to have marked you though, one tap on the ribs and you’d squeal for help, born coward.

In fairness, I doubt Appendage ever played hurling.

I doubt there’s any “hurling men” on here. What is a hurling man anyway, does this need its own thread?

Be careful here chaps, this reads like pub talk to me.

Some comeback

And who are these ‘chaps’ can you not fight your own battles?

Ta.

+1.

And there’s hundreds of Wexford hurling supporters who’d wholeheartedly agree with you pal.

Woah woah woah. Take it easy on Appendage mate. He’s like a brother to me - most families have one brother who’s not the sporty type and for me that brother is Appendage.

To drag this back on topic - 2 additional bets I’ll be adding - both on Wexford vs Louth

Anytime Goalscorer - Redmond Barry - 4/1 - 1 point (Boyles)
Both teams to score a goal & Louth to win - 11/4 - 1 point (Powers)

Will tally everything up after the weekend.
