[QUOTE=âIl Bomber Destro, post: 943291, member: 2533â]McKeever, Kernan, Donaghy and Morgan all missed the bulk of the league campaign and they will be four nailed on starters in defence if they are fit and ready. Thought Armagh had a decent league campaign given the extent of their injury problems and the form shown by the likes of Campbell, the two Raffertys, Findon and Harold were very encouraging.
Iâd imagine an Armagh side at full strength would look something like this:
McEvoy
Mallon
Donaghy
Morgan
Aaron Kernan
McKeever
Shields
Harold
Ethan Rafferty
Caolan Rafferty
Dyas
Tony Kernan
Clarke
Campbell
Forker
Some good options like Brian Mallon, McVerry, Findon, Hughes and Vernon to come off the bench then. I could only see three of four Cavan players being better options than those players.

Armagh in decline. Cavan on the rise. Home advantage will be worth a couple of points to the Orchard boys but canât see it being enough
Armagh have been in decline for years, think they will see a bit of a rise now again although not to an extent where they will be challenging for major honours. Cavan have very little footballers in their side and just seem to be a bunch of long distance runners who can handpass their way up towards the goal before losing their heads.
I canât agree. I watched Armagh at close quarters last year and I thought they were very poor. If you managed to bottle up Jamie Clarke then they had very little to offerâŚI donât think much has changed since then. I feel Cavan carry much more of a scoring threat with players like Eugene Keating, Niall McDermott and of course, Martin âSocksâ Dunne.
Cavan are dreadful. The two times they have gone to Croke Park in the last two years against Kerry in last yearâs quarter final and Roscommon in the league final they have looked absolutely clueless when they have got within the final third of the pitch. Armagh have far more of a scoring threat than Cavan in any case, Campbell has had a great league campaign and will certainly take some of the attention off Clarke.
Last yearâs game between the two sides played perfectly into Cavanâs hands with the tactics employed, Armagh attacked in waves and waves and went man for man on Cavan which opened up loads of space. Think McGeeney will definitely have Armagh more defensively compact for this yearâs encounter and Armagh have an infinitely better forward line. Iâd be very surprised if Cavan won.
Laois 4/9 to beat Wicklow and Longford 4/9 to beat Offaly this weekend.
Nailed on. Laois are poor but Wicklow are absolutely dreadful. Offaly are in a mess, Longford should take them.

Did we find a full back when I wasnât paying attention?
Looks like Paul Begley based on recent challenge games. Wicklow, I repeat, are utterly fucking awful. We will win this by 5/6 points.
The ârewardâ doesnât bear thinking about.

Better to win a first round than lose another fucking one anyway. Maybe Dublin will underestimate us
In Laois it will be between Borris/Kilcotton, Camross, Clough/Ballacolla and Rathdowney/Errill.
If pushed, Iâd go for Clough/Ballacolla although Iâd like to see BK do it. @Kid Curry might give an opinion though as Iâm notoriously shit at this crack.
Think Ardboe could be a good outside bet for the Tyrone Championship, a very good forward line with the three McGuigans and Coney. They are available at 12/1.
