GAA betting 2024/25

2-1 Against Limerick in a game that set the tone for the championship ahead.

2-3 Against Clare in Ennis for what was effectively a must win KO game.

1-2 Against KK his goal coming just as Tipperary were about to be swamped conceding 8 of the first 9 scores.

2-2 Against Cork in the AI final where he also won a penalty for a 3rd goal and got his man sent off.

All of those came in key games from a fella you would have had zero worry about heading into Easter weekend for Munster championship. He deserves it.

Wouldn’t object to it

That’s unbelievable really. Probably actually more ‘impactful’ than David Clifford in that a lot of his big scores came in hammerings.

The type of stats that won Hurler of the Year for Dan the Man in 07.

Morris averaged 0-4 from play and another 0-4 in primary assists.
In games v Cork twice, Kilkenny, Cork in the final, Galway he was performing at a consistent 8/10.

The amount of primary possession he won and turnovers he got was through the roof.
The only time he was not playing well was generally when games were won.

He’d be the man imo (not just the pocket talk).

IK beaten a point by Clooney, familiar failings on show again. Jason Mccarthy taken for 6 points from play by a lad going into Leaving Cert, Fitzgerald looked like he couldn’t care less and they again found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Obviously not gone yet, they should beat Broadford in their pseudo Last 16 game. But you’d be worried that theyve shown no signs of change, if you were in their shoes

Completely forget to post it here before hand but got off a grand double with Eire Og Annacarty and Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Eire Og were badly mis priced and i got them at 15/8 which was an extremely generous price in what was very much a 50/50 game against Templederry.

Kilruane were evens against a Dan McCormack less Borris-Ileigh - Kilruane were comfortable for a finish but Borris be kicking themselves as they hit the world of wides

After last weeks crusades it’s unlikely I hit such profits off small money again but here goes:

Few long shots standing out to me:

Mullinavat 11/2 v Thomastown (BS)
Thomastown have two wins thus far but it’s hardly been jaw dropping stuff over Tullaroan & Comer.
Vat are not the easiest side on the eye but shouldn’t be near 11/2 to win any game in the league phase of this championship. They are very fit, combative and have size. This weekend they have John Walsh fully back also.

They have some extra motivation after being hammered by Thomastown in the semi final last year.
They dropped a point last week to GBC too so there need for a win is arguably higher.
It’s a south KK derby too which means the 11/2 seems mad to me.
I’m already on this.

Ballyhae 6/1 v Castlelyons
Castlelyons struggled to beat Bishopstown slightly who are brutal the first day out. Bishopstown missed a penalty.
Castlelyons had a host of injuries the first day out but I cannot really understand any team being 6/1 at this level. Ballyhae have Pa O Callaghan whose still capable at this level.
Castlelyons also have a suspension from the first day.

Courcey rovers 6/1 v Bride rovers
Ditto the above, 6/1 in a two horse race is huge. Now the problem is Courcey are down Sean Twomey who is a huge loss and not expected to be back but they were very competitive v WGH the first day out.
Bride are a very good team but they’ve been known to throw in the odd stinker over the last few years.

Total of 1.5 pts across singles and multiples.

Short priced “certs”:
Da La Salle, Ballyporeen, JK Brackens, Ballyhale, Salthill, Clara, Ballinamore, Leitir Mor

Mid price expect to win:
Fourmilewater, small stake on them EW in Waterford SHC @ 50/1

Outsiders:
Ballyboden v NAF in Dublin. NAF down a few bodies.

Long shots overpriced:
The three teams mentioned above.

Total out lay of 3pts across a variety of multiples.

Ballinamore the useless cunts succumbed to a revitalised Mohill.
1-12 to 0-12.

Man on Twitter said they were very wasteful.

Kildimo let me down last Friday but the rest won so we go again.

Fermoy beat Killeagh at big odds coming through with my summation about odds at these grades.
Courceys well beaten by Bride rovers in the first leg of this for me. Only a point in it at HT.

Ryan Walsh would be a big boost to them if he was back. Where’s that game on?

He won’t be back.

Two of the Walshes out for Kanturk, which is a big loss for their team.
