GAA betting 2024/25

Couple of lads in here who’d have their ear closer to the ground down the hurling divisions than I would. Fermanagh are 4/6 PP/Betfair the weekend at home to Monaghan only 4/11 Boyles. Monaghan relegated from League and Nicky Rackard losing 9/10 last year and started off with an 18 hammering against Louth who missed two penalties aswell. Fermanagh unbeaten last year won the league and Lory Meaghar. Fermanagh much more competitive against Louth and beat Longford last week.

4/6 worth taking for a double?

I’m probably going to get caught eventually with this methodology but u52.5 looks way too high for Tipp v Limerick on Sunday.

It’s 4-6 points higher than the other division 1 games and the Gaelic grounds is no artificial surface like Croke park or PUC.

Shot counts in the opening rounds of these games have been about 60 per game with the exception being Tipp v the Galway C Team.
Big thing is I don’t see either forward line going to town with the possible exceptions of Jake Morris & Aaron Gillane. Both sides back lines look strong.
Even at that, a 62/63 shot game needs 80%+ accuracy and/or 3+ goals.

I don’t expect Dowling or Hogan to be quick on restarts as Quaid/Shelly and Darragh McCarthy spends half the day hitting frees when Tipp get them. Gillane isn’t the quickest on frees and Byrnes has been struggling the last year on distance.

I’m going in another 3 points on this, may lay off
A half pt on over 3.5 goals later on but I just think this is way too high once again.

Also a point double with Armagh ladies. BS price.

Limerick also do not score many goals. I’ve been backing them unders on the goals market for a while.

Just back Tipp at 5/2, Lmk have named the weakest match day squad in almost a decade and Tipp are close to their championship side and are flat out for the league.

Limerick have named a fairly untested front 6. I wouldn’t put you off

In the league last year they scored over 1.5 goals in 1 game, 5 went unders. In the league in 2023 it was 2 and 5 unders. It’s not a struggle for them, it’s just they’re not bothered about goals. Risk / rewards thing that is obviously coached into them. No way it should be 11/10 for under 1.5 goals in any of their games.

Leitrim 7/2 vs Longford Division 4 Hurling

Not a 7/2 price at all imo - More 2s - Value there at that level

That’s a no bet for me. Monaghan can be weird and even though Niall Arthur is on half a leg could still have a belter of a game for Monaghan.

I had Fermanagh at evens last weekend but probably avoiding this weekend even though I think they’re decent for the level.

It’s unlikely to hold up but looks like overs comfortably airtight.

Death by 30 PTS. This was like backing a 1/4 shot, barely attacked the goal.

Well called.

Any aul.gaa bets this weekend?

Not much hurling on but cannot resist UL -7 @ 9/10. 2 points.
Ul -9 1 point.

Too much quality.

Going to go against Tipp football again, 1.5 points on Waterford.

Wexford -5 in Division 4 football along with the both above. 1 point treble.

Any value in London in football over Limerick at 5/1?

London did beat Wicklow at home 1st match of league (but got a trimming away to Wexford).

Just kinda basing it on them beating Wicklow at home, Tipp at home last year and Evan Talty (iGaelicCoach) who’s on Limerick’s coaching ticket kinda annoys me.

Tipp match put back to tomorrow.
