A very long term one for me but i see AK Bets have Tyrone available at 22/1 for next years Football All Ireland. They are as short as 10’s/12’s elsewhere.

I know they’ve been a shambles at Senior since 2021 but under the surface Tyrone Football is still going well winning two of the last three All Ireland U20 Championships, a vibrant club scene cc @Cheasty and good schools.

Malachy O’Rourke wins wherever he goes with Glen/Monaghan/Errigal/Loup and even made an Ulster Final in year one with Fermanagh and yesterday’s defeat for Glen is probably Tyrone’s gain. He’ll have a lot of talent available and I’d imagine he’ll get everyone committing which Dooher/Logie couldn’t.

All the leading candidates have question marks over them with Dublin/Kerry back amongst the back, Derry managerless, Galway injury prone, Mayo just Mayo etc. I dont know do Donegal really have it and I’d be astonished if Armagh could do back to back.

Armagh winning last year could light a fire in Tyrone like 2002 and they’ve shown in the past like 2008/2021 that they can come from nowhere to win.

The new rules might suit the Canavans too.

Great shout

It is a long shot but I wouldn’t be overly shocked if they did it. Like you mentioned, Armagh winning it might be the wake up call they needed.

In fact, Armagh winning it has a hugely positive spin on football as many teams will believe they can also do it. Rosenborg is long gone in football thankfully. It’s hard to know what Dublin do from here, how much diesel in the tank do the likes of Fenton, Kilkenny etc have. They’ve insane miles put down on their clock. Kerry are Kerry, they are always beatable ffs. Many teams will feel they have a shot to at the very least go far. Outside of the traditional big 2, you have Derry, Galway, Mayo, Tyrone, Donegal, Armagh, and Monaghan. Even a side like Cork could take down one of those easily and make it to an AI semi.

I’ve been eying it up for a little while but was thinking if Glen went on another run then Tyrone may be behind the 8 ball from the start.

Now that that’s gone to pot, id expect them to make a lot of progress very quickly under O’Rourke and Porter.

They’ve a lot of good players still and have that arrogance as a county that if they got a sniff they’d be very hard to stop.

Niall Morgan could be unreal in this new version of Football too.

Adare at 10/11 is a serious bet for me at the weekend. It’s actually day light robbery of a price.

Dunshaughlin at 2/1 a good bet v St Lomans imo.

I’m after placing 2 bets on the outright betting for the all Ireland club senior championship.

2pts EW on Loughmore at 14/1 (1/2 odds, 2 places).

In my opinion this is basically a 7/1 bet to beat Ballygunner in a few weeks. Whoever wins Munster will beat ulster champions.

0.5 pt EW St Martins of Wexford 150/1

They are 1/3 favourites to lift the cup in Wexford this weekend. If they win that, they critically have 14 days before they play away to Naas which will be a 50/50 game.
NA fianna or Clough in the semi final then. I’d give them a punchers chance.
There will be a nice cash out if we get that far but Leinster v Connaught is Loughrea/Cappy which is not Thomases.

A well put together argument for St Martins. If they weren’t from Wexford I’d give them a chance.

Na Fianna will go very deep into this championship.
