Probably not but even with endless resources he’d surely make a balls of it. He’s tenacious if nothing else.

One of the best to ever do it.

He was fond of the coin when he managed Leitrim.

All Ireland Club Champions - Priceless

Its amazing he could manage Kilcoo with @peddlerscross buried so far up his arsehole.

The moment when Conor Laverty called him up the steps to lift the trophy was one of the greatest of all time in Croke Park - and then the Black Eyed Peas rang out on the tannoy.

Which song was it?

I used to hate this song after it was played the night beyond in Paris when Richard Dunne and Thierry Henry had the chat about the handball, but I suppose it is kind of iconic.

How could you ever hate that song?

That and U2’s ‘Beautiful Day’ were played on Croke Park in September 2010 after that mighty All Ireland final between Tipp and Kilkenny.

Festy Kerwick gave a tremenjus rendition of “I’ve Got A Feeling” from the podium. One of the great moments.

:rofl::rofl:

I was in Clonliff College at that stage…

The Black Eyed Peas came on when Cillian Buckley lifted the Minor trophy. There was no speech by the minor captain that day.

In ways it was reminiscent of Kilcoo as, Laverty gave the speech first and waited until the very end to lift the cup with Mickey - and then bang, on come The Black Eyed Peas.

One of the great Croke Park speeches it was too… ‘we love you Mickey, we adore you…’

No difference to any year between 2006 and 2015 so (bar 2013). Traffic doesn’t beat itself.

I’d a pint in one hand and a whiskey in the other before you’d got out of Dublin.

He was that but the more bitter pill to swallow was the fact that Morrison was also in on the gig.
He was prone to letting the mouth off before engaging the brain. Moran is a knowledgeable guy but has an incredibly dour personality.

I’ve very much of the ‘stay to the bitter end’ and ‘lock the gates, make them watch’ brigade, but I remember turning to the brother and saying “fuck this shit, I’m out of here”. The poor fucker, it was his first AI in yonks as he lived away for the previous 15 years. The fact that we won four more since then is scant consolation.
