No they don’t, they were happy with their season this year. They realise that intercounty hurling has moved on from being dominated by the same 3 teams, unlike yourself
Kilkenny needs an intercounty manager with Kilkenny DNA.
Swap the peak cap for the wooly hat.
Outside of the turkey shoots against the whipping boys, Kilkenny lost 3 of their 5 championship games in 2022. You’re as misguided as you are in your split season zealotry if you think the Kilkenny hurling public will settle for happy loser status.
They lost the AI Final by 2 points this year and were very proud of their team. You need to come into the 2020s, hurling is no longer a 3 team sport
Eddie time.
He led them to glory in 1993 and by God he’ll do it again in 2023.
The team holiday will be off the charts
With Uncle Tom Dempsey as a selector
Once TJ retires they can forget about it
He has a lot of options in both codes if interested.
Tessio would be a good fit in Dublin.
Waterford too, though I think he lives in Athlone and it would be a fair haul. He’d clear out the mentally soft fairly lively.
Tessio would also be a good fit for Offaly in either code. I can see one of losing mgmt teams for the Mayo job ending up in Roscommon.
Tessio has been in Laois before, I’d have him back again with the hurlers this time.
Lads referring to men in their 50s by nickname is a little bit odd.
Cheddar to Kilkenny, Tessio to Laois.
Its a no brainer.
Carysfort Capital to throw all their money at helping DJ get Kilkenny back to the top of the pile
Word is Codys backroom team will take over now.
So Brian is still in charge for his sofa??
It’ll be like the time Cody missed a chunk of the league due to some health issues. Bypass IIRC. Dempsey and Fogarty used do the interviews and reference Brian watching in hospital/at home.
While I understand the reluctance to follow in Cody’s footsteps, it seems surprising none have gone for their chance to manage KK. It would seem it is likely Shefflin will be the next man up after this lot and whoever is turning it down now will likely be gone from the running (or at least be in competition with more candidates in 5 or 6 years)
