GAA Managerial Merrygoround Thread

It’s a story spun by players or those close to them to conceal their weaknesses.

Cahill got a lot right with them & at a time where they faced a supremely good LK side it could be reasonably argued that WD were best of rest over that 3 year period.

You’re on the money. It’s exactly what happened in Waterford this year.

@carryharry gets very tetchy if there’s anything derogatory said about his fellow Tippos, Cahill and Bevans. He’s nearly as precious as the Clare chap @Raylan if anyone has a bad word about Davy.

Liam Kearnes confirmed as Offaly football manager. He’ll get more out of them than that dumbass Maughan.

The Comer bros own Waterford Airport. Problem solved

Fair enough. I’m only relaying what I’m told.

I’d expect Cahill to get Tipp up and motoring fairly quickly in 2023, we’ll see what happens after that

Ok Liam thanks for that.

I’d say cahills type of training/management is suited to a more traditional format. The
Four games in six weeks is going to take a lot out any squad.

I’d say Davy would have a lovely feed in Fanny O’ Deas too.

Himself and Maxi Curran is the new rumour.

Thats fair comment. The two years they did well under him were under the old format

I’m surprised nobody is mentioning the impact of the long season is on the players.

What do you mean?

The season is always long

New two year deal for Dessie.

Strong rumours Michael Donoghue will be new Dublin Hurling Manager. Franny Ford as coach. Carrying on the strong tradition of friendship and respect between these 2 great GAA counties.

Seems to be the story alright. Corcoran would be an asset there for his knowledge of Dublin scene and coaching acumen. Hopefully Gilroy not involved with them, if he’s available there are other roles more suited to his skillset in Dublin hurling.

Pat Flanagan likely to take over Roscommon. Not a surprise.

Done well with Pearses.

Rochford on the McStay ticket in Mayo and looks like he’ll be ratified tonight.

Micheal Donoghue confirmed as Dublin manager.
