Why would Kerry change their structure, which is working well within their county, which everyone in their own county is happy with, and which has traditionally churned out players honed to win All Ireland senior title after title, because of some Mickey Mouse inter club championships and to appease the rest of the country, who have no issue ignoring the shortcomings in their own counties?

Inter county teams don’t need the bones of five months to prepare for championship. It’s utterly ridiculous.

Teams had tens day together before the soccer World Cup.

It’s a classic of the spoofology that surrounds gaa coaching. Millions of euro being wasted by countries training endlessly and the product is largely rubbish.

Sure Ecuador spent 2 years, playing 18 games, qualifying for the world cup and were knocked out then after playing 3 games in 10 days. The Ecuador lads probably didn’t bother with the 12 pubs of Christmas around Newry 3 weeks before the world cup started either.
