At 12? Some going. They wouldnât allow that now. Fucking split season
Youâve a junior hurling outlook on life
Why should it be pushed two weeks later? Itâs 3 months too long.
So the football championship is a disaster.
Hurling is dying in Leinster.
And youâre delighted because you got a day out in Thurles.
Hurling wonât be played in 5 counties the way we are going.
It is deeply unfair.
There are six counties who could win the all Ireland this year.
There are three counties who have won something like 70% of all championships. You are at around 80% if you make it 4 and include Limerick
Hurling has always been like this. Itâs probably in as good a place as it was since the 90s
Hurling is in a terrible place. thereâs barely a good player under the age of 25.
Iâd imagine itâs being played by less people know than ever before.
Again 100% agree. Again. Nothing to do with the split season
You should stop imagining. Itâs running away from you
Mate. Youâve taken this too far now
The format was brought in because of the split season. Same with the woeful football championship.
Julio_Geordio: ChairmanDan:Absolutely. If youâre going with two groups in this round robin blitz format, itâs a farce that you have the bottom team in one group gets relegated but the bottom team in the other group doesnât
Again 100% agree. Again. Nothing to do with the split season

Hurling round robin brought in before split season.
You are struggling here again.
Read slowly.
The FORMAT is NOT the SPLIT SEASON
And the FORMAT for the hurling was in place before the SPLIT SEASON

Yes for two years to put so pressure on clubs to agree to postponing the club championships until after the inter county season.

Theyâve carte Blanche on the first 8 months of the season. They need to fill the time somehow without the club championships.

Club championship in April does not work mate.
It worked for years until they decided to let a couple of inter county managers call the shots.
Wexfordâs relegation would certainly speed up the long term goal of Croke Lark, the abolition of provincial championships. The Croke Park master plan of interminable league games and âchampions leagueâ type structures as espoused by the likes of Martin Breheny and Ger Gilroy in the media is ot too far off.
worked for years
It didnât. Thatâs why they changed it
It wonât be long before club championships are partly run without the inter County players.

So now you donât want relegation? Tis hard to keep up
