The step up between minor and 20 is big and there are good players starting ahead of him. Darragh Neary and Maccartaigh from Sars would be two other highly rated forwards not starting.

It says a lot for the integrity of Galway GAA folk that most hardcores know Shaney is an absolute oddball and slate him when necessary. None of this “he’s a good lad” guff.
