Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Lively team meeting during the week I hear

Tommy not wearing any Galway gear the rogue. O’Shea has got the official joggers on so his assimilation is almost complete.

Various pre/early-season holiday plans might be a bit of a hurdle for PJ.

Is Evan Murphy starting?

Came on as a blood sub for Heaney and scored a point but went off again.

A very similar player to Ian Burke in terms of playmaking for Salthill this year. Glad to see him back fully from his cruciate and the association soccer.

On now full-time. Im impressed with what i see

Met a Galway club hurler over the Christmas who was raving about McManus, it’s an area they desperately need fresh faces in so interesting to see how he goes. Don’t think him or Mclaughlin featured much at underage at all, not names I recognise anyway.

Has Niland bulked up much?

He didn’t have a great time of it either final but he wins a serious amount of dirty ball. Absolutely worth a go. We’ve too many like Kevin Cooney that are eternally on the fringes.

Was watching the FBD as well for my sins. Finnerty was flying it in the first half. The dome is a great facility. Pity it doesn’t have a capacity of 10k for next Saturday night. Mayo v Galway will be box office next week.
