Could have been 5 nil. Good solid performance.
Dervin looking a shadow of himself at Dundalk
Heās holding off on surgery too which as we know from Sunday is an absolute disaster waiting to happen
A top half finish ih tis.
A brilliant season, all things told. With a good striker we would have been lifting the cup tonight. Onwards we go to 2025.
Delighted with 2024. Was all about survival but they took some amount of scalps, particularly away from Terryland. They donāt score a lot but they die with their boots on every single week which is all you can ask.
Sounds like Clarke is retired after tonight and heāll be a big loss after being one of our best signings ever. Walshy is brilliant but is getting on and as @Keadyshouldhaveplayedin89 says we need a good striker regardless. Hurley isnāt up to the level we need for an attacking playermaker sadly and can see him going. Cunninghamās out till at least summer because the break was on his bad leg. Hickey is rumoured to be going Tallaght.
Even with all the above I think theyāll attract more Keohane types in 2025 with maybe the odd magic Ollie Horgan foreign scouted masterclass.
Thereās great momentum off the field too. Alex Murphy and Kyle Fitz are signed for Newcastle United. Womenās team are going well and the attendance in both is growing really nicely. Thereās an opportunity there with the rising cost of taking families to the likes of Connacht rubby, who are underperforming. A Friday night out in Terryland is getting more appealing to casual fans.
With a young family I donāt get to go to as many games as Iād like. But I couldnāt get over EDP for the Sligo game. The place was hopping. It was a galaxy away from the home games I attended in the 80s/90s and naughties. Even last night, there was a healthy enough away crowd for what was a meaningless game for us.
Onwards towards 2025.
