Galway V Kilkenny 2014

This is not good for my rage

There is no reason why the can not stream it online.
The streamed the Cork Waterford game will other games were on tv.

The driving factor here for the Leinster Council was the poor attendance last Sunday, they probably thought they would get close to 20000 but 12000 was a poor return.

With the way it finished last week the cunts are now cashing in big style and with a double header in HQ this weekend as well the boyo’s will be rolling in it.

Rte can’t show or stream an additional game in conflict with a Sky game. Sky are showing some football at 7 and RTE can’t stream a game at the same time. They had too much other stuff on at 5pm (though presumably could have streamed it at this time). Their only time a lot to show it live would have been 2.30. Leinster Council had all this info and decided to fix the game for 7.

Thats Leinster GAA kid, kaching

Might help pay for the stand in O’Connor park that has Offaly GAA broke.

Sky must be seething that they’re tied into the football. They would have got a good audience for this. They should just let the BBC show the football for the Ulster lads

I’m sure sky would’ve had to commit to showing a certain amount of football matches to sweeten the deal with the GAA.

It’s not ideal for anyone really but the GAA would have to be seen to be promoting both codes equally.

Great to see so many Munster folk here wailing about not being able to watch a Leinster Hurling match. Understandable given how far the munster championship is behind the top hurling province in terms of standard

To me there seemed to be a lot more than 12,000 at it.

Tony Considine agreed in Examiner:
“And by the way, I’d love to know who was doing the head-count. 12,548? And the covered stand packed to its 8,000 capacity? That fella must have been working with Anglo Irish Bank!”

Don’t mind that Kerry rag.

Would be a fair point if 2 Munster teams hadn’t contested last year’s AI final, mate.

not to mention 3 out of 4 semi finalists

That was too easy.

Forgot to mention that, even the commentators scoffed at the attendance when they mentioned it.

3? I recall only 2 showing up, who was the 3rd?

Leinster has won 6 of the last 8 All Ireland’s gents, now fall the fuck in.
