Oh Christ
Word is circulating that Richie Power has cruciate damage and is out for the season.
The kids aren’t around me when KK are playing. “Daddy uses his bad words when the Black & Amber play”
First time Mrs Locke came to a KK match with me, a proper one, AI 2003, it was an eye opener for her, bless her…
it was a nasty looking jar…hopefully its not a cruciate
Damage to part of cruciate not actual cruciate. Out for 6-8 weeks.
Replay not even going to be streamed
Go to it so.
Fuck off thrush.
Glas, pal.
The simple solution is to go to the match or quit bitching.

Not feasible. Fuck off you irritating cunt.
Irritating because?
RTE offered to cover the replay at anytime on Saturday. Leinster Council decided to fix it for a 7pm start (in a direct clash with Monaghan-Armagh) so it can’t be shown as it stipulates that two matches can’t be covered live on tv simultaneously.
I don’t think RTE had the rights to show it on their current deal.
They’d likely have to have paid extra to broadcast it, plus there’d be the issue that you’d, legally, possibly be facing an obligation to allow all broadcasters bid to show the replay unless there was a previous deal in place - however this is mere speculation on my part.
Injuries

It’s in the Indo today that RTE offered to show the replay and the throw-in time as dictated by the Leinster Council scuppered those plans. (if it’s in the paper it must be true etc…)
Why in the name of God they couldn’t just push it forward to a 3.30pm/5pm start…
Galway Bay FM it is.

Yeah but I wonder if RTE had the chance to secure the rights tot he replays when they negotiated the original contract and were they just being cheeky trying to get it on the cheap now.
Leinster Council are more than likely concerned at the prospect of a lower gate for Saturday replay as well so you can understand where they’re coming from. *

It’s a mess, it should be on tv. Two of the best teams in the country in a provincial semi final and the losers face a very tough qualifier game away to Tipp a week later.
The hardcore supporters from Galway and Kilkenny are still going to attend, they’ll still get a healthy crowd and I’m not sure if live tv coverage would have a big impact on the attendance at all.
