He really over-eggs almost everything he writes. The smiths reference aside that was a mess.
Yeah he tries way to hard to sound smart and loses most of his readers as a result.
Did he abandon that online hurling magazine or is it still on the go?
âIâm TJ Reid and I read Sliotar mag-a-zee-anâ.
Theyâre actually quite annoying to read. Way too much crammed into them. Great sports-writing normally builds around a single compelling analogy that sums up an incident or a contest. He tries to force in another analogy every second sentence.
âClare are favourites for next Saturday in Semple Stadiumâ
5 bookies beg to differ.

Yeah kk are favs, but I think itâs 50/50 and on a dry sod I would give Clare a tentative nod
A Smiths reference too !
I was quoting Arrigle there.
But that Smiths reference makes him cool, bro.
Some of his older posts that people rave about were a load of old shite too. A bit like that mad hoor from cork that used to post here, being clever for the sake of it.
 No your not , no way could TJ spell a big word like that
That was tame enough for him - no references to pre-Shakeaperan Britain!
Always thought however that he was at least more subtle than McEvoy till I read this -

Arrogant self righteous Brilliance!!!
You can never respect anyone who is personally smug about other menâs achievements.
Rather you than me Tell the Galway crowd that after Joe scores 2-09 off JJ!!!
2-21 to 1-17 in favour of Kilkenny.
22 of the 30 players starting tomorrow are over 6ft. Eight Galway players are 13st or heavier, four over 14st. Eleven Kilkenny players are over 13st with seven over 14st.
All big men alright they will need plenty of extra hurleys, the first 10/15 minutes will be âsavageâ
Is this a first? Locke actually tipping Kilkenny. He must be fierce confident.
Must be some buzz going to bed tonight knowing youâre playing in an All Ireland tomorrow.
Hard to imagine Iâd say. That must help Kilkenny, having being there before.
Niall Moran was on the radio today, said that the noise when they came out in 2007 threw the team. Couldnât focus for the first 15 mins. Game was over by then. Hopefully the same doesnât happen Galway tomorrow.
Galway wiil win tomorrow they wont be bet
