Galway v Kilkenny - All Ireland Hurling Final 2015

There will be no retrospective bans, and Connolly has already walked away from one far more vicious, and unprovoked assault, and this from a supposedly neutral court. I’d be amazed if he doesn’t walk away from this.

Don’t forget Connolly got away with another trampish punch in a semi final previously as well. Of course he’ll get off, he has a lot of influential people on his side.

Galway will give kk plenty of it. Kk will have to very good indeed to win. Galway well able to take the timber and the spare arm dragging, and give it back.
I suspect that TJ and Richie may be the difference, but tipp scored three and still lost. I bet kk are as anxious as they have been before a final in a while.
I have a feeling that galway will win this, I really do.

Here we are 6 days out. Things are bubbling away under the surface.

Anyone care to share the KK match day panel for the Waterford game? I was thinking about it last night and apart from Prendergast who else is there to cover in the backs if there was an injury. Couldnt think of anyone of significance of the top of my head.

I’m so anxious that I’m considering watching the match from Fagans/Kennedys whichever one I’m in.

Nobody lad, if someone in the back six gets injured we’re going to take him off and not replace him. Seriously it’s that bad

We could loan you Tony Óg. He’s still moaning about getting shunned by Cunningham.

Rumours from noreside that Cody is requesting that it be changed to 13 a side.
Just to give Kilkenny a chance.

That’s actually true. Galway countered with Richie Hogan and TJ only allowed to play 50 mins each.

Thanks Mate.

@the_mixer_walsh who are the replacement defenders from this list?

Richie Reid, Michael Welsh, Robert Lennon, Diarmuid Cody,
Joe Lyng, Matthew Ruth Conor Martin

Martin and Ruth are both forwards, Reid is a goalkeeper

Cody jr is a wing back I think.

That’s a good question KP, I’d say some of those lads are only finding out themselves this week

I’m sure Lester Ryan could fill in as a wing back too if required.

He has played wing a lot and I think centre too for kk.

He could, so could Joe Lyng but it’s a bit closer to goal is where the lack of cover is a concern.

The poverty of your reply suggests about stage 3.

What happened to Brian Kennedy?

I fail to see how Flynn and Mannion are going to get the same return as the Tipp game. KK simply wont give them space as they drift out towards the 65. so we’ll need goals to beat KK but I do think we are capable of getting them. This will require the likes of Donnellan/Smith making yards and drawing defenders. But Whelan and Canning will only need a sniff.
