The score for 80 years was nowhere nearly is the point I was making. Tipp recently are only moderately more successful than Clare yet still think theyâre equal to KK.
Not at all. Iâm just pointing out the basic statistics of the last 15 years which are completely at variance with the somewhat bizarre claims you are making about Kilkenny fearing Tipperary. In the 9 years they have met in the Championship since 2002, Kilkenny have prevailed 7 times to just 2 for Tipperary. 4 league finals in that time span have all been won by Kilkenny as well.
I presume this Kilkenny fear you speak of refers to events of over half a century ago when Tipperary recorded a single All Ireland Final win over Kilkenny in each of the decades of the 1930âs, 40âs, 50âs and 60âs.
Canât help you there pal. Iâd have a good grasp on all the finals back to 1922 but before that Iâd be hazy particularly back into the late 19th century when Tubberadora were winning All Ireland Finals representing Tipperary. Why donât you avail of that google research tool youâre always talking about? Let me know if you get your answer. Iâd be interested to find out as well.
If its of any assistance to you, I do know Kilkenny have won 36 All Irelandâs and Tipperary have won 27.
Of the 2006 starting XV, team of 17 year olds @caulifloweredneanderthal referred to, I make it ten didnât feature in the 2007 final. Could it be that those 10 were overage and were in fact 18 in 2006 and not all 17?
Letâs take it one step at a time. Youâve been hounding me all day on why I was asserting that @caulifloweredneanderthal was bigging up a one point All Ireland Final win for the Tipperary 2006 minors.
I pulled up @caulifloweredneanderthal on the veracity of his assertion that the 2006 team was in his own words primarily made up of lads who were 17 - 10 of the starting 15 in 2006 didnât feature in 2007 - most likely because most if not all of the 10 were 18 (or at worst almost 18) at the time of the 2006 final.
I presume you are now conceding that @caulifloweredneanderthal was bigging up that 1 point win by the 2006 team, taking such liberties with their age profile.
Joe was in the Galway team denied three in a row by the aforementioned Tipp team in the final. Pa Bourke scored an early fluky goal from a free when going for a point.
