Galway v Tipperary - All Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Final 2017

Do you reckon they call it "West Indies Guinness " in the West Indies or is it just Guinness

On paper that looks pretty good for Tipperary, especially Podrick Maher v Niall Burke.

Ronan Maher v Cooney would be a better match up for Galway than Ronan Maher v Canning.

Cooney is a much better direct runner.

Canning is like a slower version of Aidan O’Shea in his running style these days.

I reckon they’ve never even seen West Indies Guinness in the West Indies

This is the first game in a while that Harte will actually have to mark someone.

The Dublin game.

Could be Mouse Dwyer at 5 too chief

Will the 5-7 trio be able to resist a bout of let-it-off-ta-fuckitis in the face of the hated Tipp?

Mannion in particular loves to launch it when the blood is up.

Donoghue seems to have put a cap on the brainless stuff. I haven’t seen them fist pump a 65 concession since 2015. This could change when the pressure comes on though.

Coffers are presumably under pressure after all the days in court over the last year. This Tipperary team are a godsend for the legal profession.

What are all these days in court you’re talking about? Darren Gleeson and…?

Barrett and Callinan are two more since last September- there’s probably more we don’t know about.

What has Callanan done since September? Barrett is not on the Tipp panel

Cooney on P Maher makes more sense to me. When he can’t physically overpower his marker Maher struggles and gets very frustrated. Canning isn’t there to be a runner anyway.

Fuck sake. There’ll be more fundraisers than matches in Tipp for the next year.

They’re very quiet this week. They must be gathering all their conkers for the weekend.

Bit of chicken and egg there har.

And what was the result of the case mate?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Brendan Maher drop back to pick up Canning and Ronan playing deeper to protect the full back line.

Obtuse way of saying Tipperary, who play traditional 15 on 15 and don’t do sweepers, will play with a sweeper.
