No such thing.

+1. You can only beat what’s in front of you, and you have to perform on the big day. Nothing soft about that

I’m off to Dublin tomorrow as I’ve some work up there and will stay there until after the match Sunday. I should have a nice bit of Porter consumed by Sunday at this rate.

Tipp got a bye in the 89 semi and had Antrim in the final. Soft as fuck. Clare had a handy one a few years ago.

Galway winning All Irelands in the 80s by winning two games were soft tbf mate

Clare’s wasn’t soft ( although I throw that on occasion😀) . They won a poor enough championship but that wasn’t their fault or the fault of the structure .

1989, 1991, 2001 & 2013.

1980, 87 and 88 are softer than all of those All Irelands mate

As much as I hate chip 91 wasn’t soft. Beat limerick, cark, Galway and KK. Mind you they disgraced themselves against Cark that year when Ger Cunningham was pelted and abused with five mins left to play.

Enjoy bud

Softer than when gaa officialdom decided tipp should win the all Ireland in 89 and 01, or when key injuries handed it to ye in 10 or 16. You’re having a laugh mate. Kudos on 91 though.

Yes mate, way softer. Tipp won more than two games to win those All Irelands as far as I know

They weren’t good enough

Shtop pal just shtop, Tipp played more matches to win Munster in 1987 than Galway did to win two all irelands.
The only thing soft about 2001 was the Galway goalkeeper.

Munster

Tipp sold their soul in 89. They hadn’t the men to beat galway in 87 or 88 and so sat down to examine their make up. They realised that without hurling, they are nothing. They looked with envy at Galway. A vibrant city, beautiful mountains lakes and beaches. The last true bastion of Gaelic culture, along with welcoming and friendly locals. All the things tipp strived for but were without. They knew to attach any meaning to their flat pointless nothingness, they needed hurling, and their self professed, but not in any way factual notion that they were the ‘home of hurling’

So a rat bastard rang up about keady doing nothing more than playing a match, and the wheels were put in motion for that malevolent patsy Denton to ensure the outcome.

That is not honourable, that is a win by default, a cheats win. And so it will ever be known.

In 2001 tipp were jealous that they were ten years being bullied out of it by the likes of Clare, so the powers that be arranged for pat o Connor, who’s father grew up in tipp, and who’s wife, the day after the final was back in work at south Tipperary county council (!!) be given the game. After Denton, they had to be more subtle, so instead of sending lads off o connor made sure joe rabbitte could be rode sideways with no free forthcoming, robbing Galway of their main puck out winner, it was a decent tipp team, so with a few favourable decisions, they had enough.

Any other race of people would feel shame, but tipp people are as blank and character free as the county’s ugly landscape, so the nation waits still in vain for a mea culpa.

A bit of balance, please. Tipperary town had a tampon factory up until the mid nineties.
