Thatâs right.
Hon Galway for Liam now
I thought you said Tipp would win?
Is Barry Kelly a communist ?
Well done Galway. Wonât begrudge ye an all Ireland.
Our lads did what they could. Just wasnât to be.
Life goes on. Having a supermacs now. Giving back to the Galway economy
Not just Tipp fans. Celtic ones too.
Youâre very testy and youâre also wrong. Burke has more hurling than any other full back in the country.
Very good game. Not an all time classic, an awful amount of errors on both sides, maybe affected by conditions, but some sloppy play and horrible wides at times.
In saying that, it was utterly enthralling. Fuck all between the pair of them all the way through. Some serious physicality throughout and both teams will know they were in a right battle. In fairness to Kelly, the hits as hard as that it was always going to be hard to call when to give a free or not without blowing up the whole time. He missed a lot both ways and certainly a clear Galway penalty. But at the same time, I thought Galway got a few more breaks than Tipp, although I was happy enough to see them get those breaks. They had a lot of chances to put away that game coming towards the end, some woeful decisions and attempts at least 3 times in the closing stages. A bit more of a cool head was needed. Call on here that canning was lucky to be still on around the 50th minute, and to be honest, you couldnât argue with that. Poor frees and ineffective from play. But he earns the trust because of his ability to do what he did at the end. Pressure frees and a super winning point. It was an unreal score.
By fuck Galway better go and win from here.
Hon The Deise!
That is the best game of anything Iâve ever seen, ever.
I thought the result was fair enough in that there was only a point, if anything, between the teams, and Galway just about shaded it. I hence thought barry kelly had a good and fair enough game, and if Galway had lost, Iâd probably think the same.
It was fucking epic.
Delighted for John Hanbury. He had a fine game. I donât really think there was that poor a performance out there by any player.
Beautiful contest, hard fought and without much cynical hurling, bar Gleeson, but youâd be disappointed if your keeper didnât do that tbh.
I thought paudie maher was as good as anyone out there. Bar eamon cregan in 1980, itâs hard to remember as good a performance in a losing cause.
Ah lads, we are privileged.
@carryharry Iâm certain you believe what youâre saying and weâd all be the same, but youâre viewing Kellyâs performance through your blue and yellow glasses, if a robot reffed it Galway would have won by more,
But your lads contributed to a great game of hurling today, a stone cold classic, but there can be no doubting that Galway were the better team today
Larry says thereâll be one word on everybodyâs lips over the next couple of days and thatâs Cathal Barrett
Callinan missing the free or 65 with 5 minutes to go was the end of the game for Tipp. It gave Galway the lift they needed to drive on.
Very good article on todayâs Sunday Times on Cathal Barrett .
Did it outline how much of a scumbag he is?
Finish the fucking job.
Galway conceded 8 frees, Tipp 17
It wasnât flattering reading between the lines.
Those Tipp lads are dirty hoors
