Galway v Tipperary - All Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Final 2017

Finbar Gantley (Sn) played in the 1979/1980 finals. None of his sons (Rory, Finbar, Joe) played in an AI final afaik, although all played for Galway.

Blaming the referee is a cop out.

Tipp looked invincible at the start of the year but they were not able to maintain last years form and momentum.

Mick Ryan has a big job to do looking forward to next year (if he stays which he should) as there are issues within that group on and off the field.

No. Tubber, Co. Clare is a parish (the old Kilkeedy parish) and Beagh, Co Galway is a different parish. Things are never that simple though, parts of Tubber village are in Beagh.

Just watching it back there, Barry Kelly was quite liberal in his time keeping. Joe Canning hit Galway’s winning score on exactly 74.00 at which stage the 4 minutes of injury time were up and the game should have been whistled over. It would have been tough on Galway if John O’Dwyer had equalised in the time played after time was up.

Joe took about 45 seconds to hit the free you special , also Galway goalie took thirty seconds on a puck out at start of ET

Very surprised to see the same posters who still go on about 1989 now trying to shut down discussion of an abject refereeing display which cost Tipperary the game because it’s boring to them. The gracious way Tipperary* have reacted to today’s injustice has been in marked contrast to their Galway counterparts over the past few decades. I’ve always admired Tipperary’s class on and off the pitch and they have the most beautiful women in Ireland too.

*with the exception of Jackie Cahill.

Hopefully mate. There was a Nogra AGM tentatively planned for early September anyway, so might kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Is about all that can be said to that.

A very parochial defence of your fellow Faythe Harriers clubman John Denton.

There were two frees during the four minutes which led to the additional time

A gentleman.

Class recognising class

I don’t doubt it. As is Barry Kelly.

Still no sign of that long string of fucking misery @Brimmer_Bradley. At least his countymen had the good grace to come on and congratulate their Galway e-pals. What a bitter wanker.

fuck off you absolute wierdo

Cheers bud, Barry Kelly was an absolute disgrace but I certainly won’t be crying about it in 2045.
