Lovely day here in the wesht.

Looking for a good pub, not trendy or poncy. Just a good house that serves nice porter, an Pucan here is not a bad spot.

Murphys I’d say lad. Get in there now and grab a seat at the bar.

Pucan strictly for tourists and kids. Murtys to it’s left, (rugby) or Garveys to its right(hurling) are better. Anything across the road is shit. O Connells on the square won’t get served there unless your wearing a suit. The Ol 55 around the block is best guinness in Galway. Kenneddys locals spot but great for a couple of bets.
Avoid temple bar aka the latin quarter
The West has some decent spots but bar Taylors or the Crane is hipster valley.

Dew drop all day long

What’s the place there if he turned right at the square and about half way up? Before fibbers?

O Connells, Ed Sheeran brought Saoirse Ronan a jeger bomb there once but she told him to fuck off

They are closing for 3 months in January to start work on a restaurant upstairs. So is McSwiggans for similar. reasons, sold to a corporate chain recently. Hole in the wall is gonzo, be interesting to see what happens there with Woodquay on the up again

I liked McGinns in Woodquay.

Jaysus, surprised by that. Suppose it’s probably a bit quieter in the summer without students
