Listening back to it here. Twitter over reacting a bit so far he was only saying reduce lads that were working one day a week. Increasing the allowance for full time workers.
I presume places like Supermacs offer yearly raises on performance ? do they offer a shift allowance for late shifts? … Of course youre going to start on minimum wages in a fast food outlet ffs … i’m sure there’s avenues for progress there too.
All the moaning cunts never stop to think about staff wages when they are stuffing their faces in eateries or swilling larger back their gobs in bars…
I presume so on the increases, pat said as much, don’t know about the allowances there was a bit of confusion on a high court challenge to them on the clip.
Pat came across gruff and his lotto comment which Twitter will repeat endlessly was stupid but what he actually said was why should a lad who previously earned 80-100 now get 350 and why should someone who was full time now only get 350, he advocated more for full time employees and said the payment across the board was unsustainable. Just phrased it poorly. It was nice to see his feet held to the fire over the meal deduction and uniform which is now gone but this isn’t the us v them victory portrayed.
I thought Nash was a joke, going on about low wages in general, repeating that he lives in reality not ‘planet pat’ that he’s working 24/7. Just slogans and sound bites for the easily led.
