Wrote a few classics
Rte saying separate incidents but the locals are saying it may have been a rescue attempt when she heard him in distress. Very hard to know.

God rest them both.
Bar some kind of a mad current, it’s probable that she was trying to save the man.

Massive crowd of volunteers down the coastline since well before 8 this morning. It’d restore your faith in humanity.

Did they find that girl who is missing haven’t seen any update on the news the last 24hrs?
They hadn’t as of the 12 o’clock news anyway
No update. Search ongoing. It’s really awful.
Not the worst conditions for later tonight so all you can do is keep the positive mindset. I missed the first few searches while away with the job but they’ve had brilliant crowds so far and all the local communities have supported the efforts.

Flatty’s pal is a top man. Everybody is being realistic that this is to bring a body home at this stage. I’d recommend to have waterproofs and a hi-vis because Flatty’s pal might be walking in plenty of water if he’s near Rusheen bay.
The family are salt of Earth and very decent sorts. You can tell how much it means to have any spare roaster on hand to help out. Her friends and relations are organising the search, with the help of a couple of Gardaí. They’re doing a fantastic job considering the tragic circumstances.

There’s a gofundme started by the family to help cover costs.
They’re setting up Whatsapp groups to cover specific search zones over the weekend too so if anybody wants the link for that let me know and I’ll share it. I think they’re still of the belief they’ll find Máire between Barna and Spiddal.
