There’s Direct Provision centre 5 minutes from my houseCan you explain why other rural areas in places like Clare, Leitrim and Monaghan have established Welcome Committees for asylum seekers while Oughterard listened to racists like Noel Grealish and Justin Barrett? Galway lads aren’t afraid to trash out the serious issues. Even if it means bashing our own heads together sometimes. Nothing sadder than posters who agree with other posters all the time just because they’re from the same county. ie Limerick and Dublin contingents on here

How convenient there’s a direct provision centre five minutes from your house 
Sure there was no facilities for the poor creatures in Oughterard. No footpath to walk into the village, no school places, no amenities, only one GP etc. They deserve better. Shame on you for suggesting they should just be dumped together in a ramshackle closed hotel.
Why can’t every village in Ireland take in a family instead of dumping them all together o wise woke one?
Refugees need access to specific services and supports. It’s easier to provide these to them if they are in groups.
