General Election 2011

Should someone be held accountable for the morals and actions of their father?

Idiot post

A lot of diabolical cunts have been Leaders of this country. Lynch’s vote buying tactics would shame even Ahern. DeValera and his propaganda machine the Irish Press. Ireland isn’t exactly a poster child for independence.

Anyone know where FG have locked Enda away for the last few days?

Surely to God this is an opportune moment for him to prove his leadership qualities.

I’m pretty sure thats what they’re worried about.

Speaking of which Paddy Hillery’s son could give it a serious rattle in the Clare constituency. His father is remembered as a great man by an awful lot of people and if he manages to not come across as a complete cock he’s in with a shout. My parents generation tend to instinctively distrust Fine Gael, and Labour have never laid down roots in most of rural Ireland so they really don’t know who to vote for. The range of candidates on offer is pretty terrible.

Didn’t know Hillery had a son running. He’s one of the few to escape any sort of damage to his reputation - generally seems highly regarded.

The Enda disappearance act is funny. They’re obviously trying to keep him out of the limelight and let FF hoover up all the flak. He’s probably in La Manga at some pre-election warm weather training. He’ll still make a mess of any debates however.

shame Joe Cooney decided to take up a role with the county board rather than run for the Dail…

I think his sheer, bland inoffensiveness is the reason he’s still the party leader. He can’t alienate anyone because he has absolutely nothing to say. With someone like Bruton you run the risk of forcing people to agree or disagree with him, but with Enda there’s nothing to agree or disagree with. It’s quite brilliant when you think about it.

McNamara the labour candidtae looks to be a step in the right direction with regards to what he has done careerwise so far and could well turn out to be a decent TD for clare if elected…

The junior Haugheys haven’t exactly got a spotless reputation either.

From RTE.ie

1038 Independent TD Michael Lowry is due to meet the Taoiseach around now to discuss his concerns about the Finance Bill.

Mr Lowry - who also speaks for Independent Jackie Healy-Ray - has previously said he may not back the bill unless changes are made to measures concerning self-employed tax return date, tax relief on third level fees and the universal social charge.

I love the bit in bold.

Lowry and Healy-Rae should be assasinated today. Having the fucking gall to pretend they give a shit about the Finance Bill after all their backyard politics in their careers. If either of those are elected again (or young Healy-Rae or whoever) then I’m banning IP Addresses from South Kerry and North Tipperary from accessing TFK.

But how will noddy log on

:o

Or Cloughjordan FC Fan

unreal

Michael Martin is the new leader of FF…

O Cuiv was second, astonishing, Lenihan should just get out of politics now, why hang around?!

Lenihan fucked himself by voting for Cowen.
If he had gone against Cowen last week then he would have been in with a real shout of winning it.

he is hanging around because no one would take on a spoofer like him and no one would give him a job working in their finance department.
