Of course Fine Gael like the eejits they are walking straight into a trap set for them by FF. Running a minority government where they will be at the whim of FF who will call an election as soon as they are good and ready and have an issue that will destroy FG at the polls. You couldn’t underestimate the congenital stupidity of FGers

I think FG are well aware of the trap. There’ll be tension within FG between those (Enda and maybe Noonan) who realise it’s their last shot and others (Leo/Coveney) who’d take a longer term view.

The plus side is that Labour will now be left with a choice of one of the old guard (Howlin), a loose cannon (AK47) or a non-entity (Sherlock) as their new leader.

I think it’s fairly obvious who I voted for if you look at my posts mate, and it certainly wasn’t independents. But, what is the difference between someone like a PBP candidate and Mattie McGrath? Neither of them will have any power and Mattie might actually help you in some small way

Two in Longford-Westmeath - Burke FG will be one, and either Penrose LAB or Bannon FG. Hogan SF won’t hold on.

Last seat in Dublin South Central is still officially not filled but it will be Brid Smith AAA-PBP.
