Fianna Fail reportedly going to look for a full recount in Longford-Westmeath. :grinning:

Their candidate Gerety-Quinn ended up 38 votes behind Bannon of FG on the latest count and would thus be eliminated.

Cant see the sense of that. She would hardly get the extra 400 over Penrose on FG bannon transfers.

At the moment, I’d be calling the last three seats in DBN for O’Riordan, Broughan and Lyons.

MacDonnacha’s transfer should get Mitchell back in the race, but I’m doubtful has she enough other sources of transfers to stay get ahead of Lyons.

Think Heney will transfer well to Averil Power but again I’m not sure has she enough other sources of transfers.

Cian O’Callaghan’s transfers will break well for O’Riordain and Broughan, I think.

Finian McGrath will be needing a significant Haughey surplus to get him elected.

If Mitchell is eliminated she’ll push Lyons over the line.

Well, that’s Fianna Fail for you…

Tune in on Tuesday for the result.

Do SF have a decent chance there?

A chance but it’s beginning to move away from them I think.

Called it a few posts above there.

What sort of lead will Mitchell need over Lyons after this distribution to stave off elimation before him?

@Sidney
Mitchell has picked up 2,708 transfers and must be in with a shout now. She’s up to third.

Mac Donnacha’s votes have just been distributed this minute.

Mitchell is now 8281
O’Riordain 7320
Lyons 7116
McGrath 6930
Broughan 6823
Power 6338
O’Callaghan 4637
Heney 3974

Heney will now be eliminated.

Outstanding vote management there. Cian O Callaghans transfers will decide this constituency. And fuck knows where they will go. A lot of them should go tyo Broughan but a lot of Cians vote is a local Howth vote so a good few of them should go to Averil.

Noticeable that Paul Murphy was going after SF in his comments today. They’ve stripped Labour of votes, their next obvious hunting ground is SF.

There’s been a real censorship on showing SF candidates being elected during this election, probably didn’t want a repeat of the raucous scenes with Jonathan O’Brien was elected down in Cork last time with “On The One Road” being belted out and pictures of Terence McSwiney being paraded around and tricolours everywhere.

That’s excellent vote management for Mitchell to get 2708 out of MacDonncha’s 3850.

Better than I was expecting.

One of Mitchell or Lyons will certainly be elected. Whoever stays ahead will push the other the line.

Finian McGrath has been falling down the order but Heney and Power should be more fruitful for transfers for him you would think - if Power doesn’t go ahead of him. And she could.

Where have the Social Democrats transfers been going so far in this election? Would love to see that cow Power eliminated next.

O Callaghan should transfer well to Broughan. I should also say that Averil was very nice to me in the polling station and she had her lovely nice purple coat on.

TV3 running their election special. Timmy Dooley was just on and was pretty set against going into government with FG.

Could be looking at another election sooner rather than later.

That’s just FF playing hard to get so they’ll extract the Taoiseach role from Enda.

Alison O’Connor is repulsive.

She was posing as a social democrat so, borrowed the coat from Roisin

They’ve been scattering to the four winds.

In Galway Niall O’Tuathail had over 5,000 to transfer and Trevor O’Clochartiagh (SF) didn’t get as much of a boost off them as he would have been hoping for - the biggest amount went to Catherine Connolly, a left-leaning IND.

Eamon Ryan also picked up a huge whack of SD transfers.

That kind of moderate, liberal left candidate seems to be doing very well off them.

O’Riordain could fit that mould but Broughan fits it best you would think.
