You won’t be let into Monaghan with that attitude.

Surely Docherty will be hauled before the army council this morning. Maybe appropriate to the people who are shitting themselves thread.

Frank McBrearty Jr covered himself in glory over the weekend.

After the first count: THE PEOPLE OF DONEGAL DESERVE THE CORRUPTION THEY GET – MCBREARTY

Then he took to Social Media to back it up (apologies for the Joe.ie banner) :

Interesting graphic showing where the transfers went in the election. FG with the tightest vote management but that’s also prob because they had 2 candidates in most constituencies.

SF transferred more to FG than they did to AAA-PBP !!!

Presumably due to FG running more candidates and probably a local thing in rural areas and also AAA-PBP were most likely eliminatedo before SF.

Maybe. I think timing def is a factor.

13% of SF transfers to Gov parties and 15% to FF. Interesting.

FG picked up transfers from across the spectrum with Greens, Soc Dec and Renua in particular transferring.

These transfers might be an indication of changing allegiances in votes i.e. voted Soc Dem but had previously voted FG or voted Renua but had prev voted FF.

I’d say it’s probably likely that votes in rural counties like for instance, Mayo, were distributed to FF or FG as they were the only remaining candidates. Conway Walsh was the last candidate to have her distribution transferred, they could only go to FG/FF at that particular time.

Would most people fill out their full allocation on ballot papers?

I certainly did and FG were put 12th and 13th.

Bertie fudging answers as good as ever on RTE radio.

Seems to be saying that Sinn Fein leading the opposition is unpalatable to Fianna Fail.

I don’t understand why people would put down preferences for parties/individuals that they don’t want elected.

At the count centre yesterday, it was noticeable that when Chris Andrews vote was getting distributed, it was often very low preferences that were picking up the transferred vote.

You definitely shouldn’t vote for anyone that you do not want to get elected.

I normally vote for the Government I want first and then keep going until I get to the point where there’s no one left that I’d like to see in the Dáil.

I don’t know why anyone would risk their vote transferring to some cunt that they don’t like.

I saw this last week and heard some guy on the radio saying that giving someone a very low preference helps to keep them out
