General Election 2016

Those are facts Sidney.

The only parties truly proposing something revolutionary in Ireland are the far left. Not Sinn Fein, the party who support the current corporation tax rate and have brought in austerity up North.

Does anyone else get a right laugh when Gerry tries to talk about the finances of the country? Any one with any sense at all wouldn’t let him run a school tuck shop nevermind a country.

Fact

Facts about Michael Noonan:
i) Persecuted a dying woman who was poisoned by the state.
ii) Turned a blind eye to sex abuse in foster homes on his watch and literally ran away when confronted about this.
iii) Campaigned to refund Eircom shareholders.
iv) Lied that he would burn the bondholders when he had no intention whatsoever of doing so.
v) Made sure that the burden of austerity would lie with those at the bottom of the ladder rather than those at the top.

Ireland is a centre left country. The political reality from Fine Gael out to the left is spend while you have it. It is collectively agreed that there should be a Public Health Service and a welfare state. The only political party who are properly right wing are Renua.

The far left like to pretend Fine Gael are right wing, they aren’t.

Ah will you give over.
Those on any step of the ladder who are willing to get up off their holes can create a reasonable life for themselves. Those with the paw out will not.

I think it was summed up when someone said hed have to his shoes and socks off to count to twenty

I get a tremendous laugh when Fine Gaelers and Fianna Failers try to claim economic competency.

It’s like if neo-Nazis tried to claim that the best way to ensure the rights of ethnic minorities is to elect a Pegida government.

Free primary and secondary schooling. Affordable Third Level fees. Numerous state funded skills improvement courses.

The trap for these people is welfare, at much higher rates than in Britain and elsewhere, with no reduction in rates over time like you get on mainland Europe.

If you want to work and make a decent life foe yourself in this country you can. The problem is you can sit on your ass and get through life as well. Fair enough that we have the far left who are happy with this, it’s always being the flaw with them but at least they’re honest. Hearing the Rastoolers in here going on about Sinn Fein being a revolution for this country because they will adjust USC for some people is gas. They still support low Corporation Tax and the economic path this country has been on since Charlie opened us up. But because Gerry & Co don’t have the previous backage of governance in this country they can still take a populist line. My major issue with them is their past, having Gerry promising to the poorest in society like single mothers when he ordered the murder of one is disgusting.

So instead you’ll let a school teacher from loughhill and a teacher from Mayo in charge.

Well I know to become a school teacher he must have passed some equivalent of leaving cert maths. I would seriously question whether Gerry ever has.

Remind me of what the current Leader of Fianna FĂĄil is?

At least teaching requires a third level qualification. Now I’m not one to say if you don’t have one you shouldn’t be allowed become the leader of the country but you should be able to show some economic competence either with your past career or your media performances. Paul Keating, the ex Australian Prime Minister, is a good example. Born and raised in a time where finishing school wasn’t the norm, he proved himself in his time before becoming Treausry secretary and PM and to be smart enough economically to get the keys. Gerry is a disaster in the media. Maybe his previous life as Chief of Staff of the Provisional IRA shows competence but I don’t see SF campaigning on that.

There is only one candidate to my knowledge with a documented history of supporting neo Nazi fascists.

Step forward Mary Lou McDonald of SF/IRA.

Heavy.

When did she make those remarks

That’s enough about Piggy Lou’s weight issues, she has a thyroid problem and you well know it.

Ireland is a centre left country? The Free State has had centre right governments in charge since the state’s inception.

Fine Gael are the party who can’t do their maths, pal.

I’m considering giving the Social Democrats an aul 2nd or 3rd preference.

Donnelly was the most impressive speaker last Monday night on the leaders debate, and their policies seem fair.

No spoofing about doing away with the USC either, which isn’t going to happen under any party imo.

Ah yes I forgot, it’s actually Geography that is Sinn Feins achilles heel , they cant remember where in the country they buried all those innocent people.
