I support a multilateral tax treaty at a European and world level, but unfortunately Ireland is against that.
Ireland has several other advantages beside its low level of corporation tax such as the English language, its geographical position and its educated workforce (yes) and its climate in relation to cloud computing locations. Saying that its merely the corporate tax rate alone that has these companies here shows a distinct lack of belief in anything the country has to offer and leaves the country open to being little more than a doormat for these firms.
Instead you have the farcical situation where the Government is fighting the European Commission to stop it paying the tax it is due and actively and publicly being seen to facilitate tax evasion.
Mate itās just about comfortable no more, I am married with kids already - have a modest mortgage in comparison to what it would be in Dublin so thereās no fear of me. The Mrs also works.
Iād pay more in rent now where Iām living then the mortgage itself so Iām happy. Iāll be mortgage free at 55, not so bad.
He doesnāt have to as he knows it wonāt happen.
As well as SF well know, hence their lack of movement on CT. They want actual power in Ireland and want to be here for a long time. Sid just has to talk shit on here.
The funny thing is that Sid and his ilk are as bad as those heād bemoan for voting for FF all those years. He is just championing a different bunch of power hungry people who are willing to put their principles aside for it. Ones who committed atrocities across the island.
Youre totally missing the point. While SF have made great ground in attracting labour voters in particular, they are still transfer toxic to the vast majority of the middle classes. Given the opinion polls they should be able to secure an extra four seats through transfers. But this will not happen. Adams doesnt help with his basic failure to understand mathematics. Secondly, his past us still a huge issue to the middle classes here.
Look itās not ideal the situation we have with Multinationals essentially holding a gun to our heads but it is what it is.
If they up & leave we lose a frightening level of employment for highly educated & skilled workers. The fall out is the āā lower paid āā services sector will also see a result in job losses. It would have a devastating domino effect.
Youāre the one who has shown a complete ignorance to the facts and political system in the O6 and youāre the one who has consistently evaded my question, so Iāll try again.
Do you think that a party who runs on an abstentionist ticket is taking constitutional politics seriously?
Do you think that SF superseded the IRA in the 1980s?
