I think FG have been going after FF anytime I’ve heard them over the last while. They know that’s where the battleground is for them; they’re unlikely to convince voters to switch from SF to FG
I think you are being very kind to Burton there. She has been a complete disaster. It seems Kenny has had some sort of breakdown over the weekend with his screeching speeches and insulting his constituents. Adams needs to get his head around the figures.
At the moment Martin has been the only one who has appeared someway competent of 5he big partied but considering the performance of the other leaders the bar is not that high.
I think the people, Enda’s people, know how grateful they, and the country, should be to Enda’s astute leadership and political nous. This is merely something being picked up on by those in the cheapseats. Enda is bulletproof. The savage loves his native shore, and it him.
You’d think every small party/independent would steer well clear of that word given the ‘successes’ of previous ‘Watchdog’ parties.
Seriously though, would any of SF, Renua, SD, AAAPPBPA, etc. really want to go into govt. with one, two or all of FF/FG & Labour as the ‘Watchdog’?
They’d want their fucking heads examined. How many political parties have gone by the wayside on the ‘Watchdog’ brief?
It’s a self-imposed death sentence.
When the time comes, Enda’s people will be there for him. As he has been for the people of Ireland. To forget this, would be to pitch the country into dire straits.
I see both Francis Fitzgerald and Kenny both refused to rule out a coalition with FF this morning.
I heard the Fitzgerald interview on newstalk and she really is shocking. Answered every question with a stock, generic comment not really related to the question she was asked. Yates let her off very lightly.
Kenny said that he believes that Fine Gael will win two seats in Waterford and, when asked who he would go into coalition with, that “you never know what will happen in the last eight minutes of the match”
