He has no place in this election process.
The âdebateâ aside, what the fuck is up with politicians waving their arms and hands about as they try to make a point.
That oulâ cunt Mary Robinson was the 1st. Iâd seen at this shite.
Itâs a sure sign that what youâre attempting to enunciate is nothing short of bullshit/scutter and youâre adding emphasis by
giving hand signals.
The Burt threw a few shapes there tonight, much like an ostrich throwing a few flaps to attempt flight. Same result.
Over 15,000 votes in the last election in a constituency in which heâd never competed before and in which the Sunday Indo said he was âstruggling to win a seatâ.
Yeah, a serious electoral liability, alright.
Gerry Adams has overseen Sinn Fein growing from 0 seats to being likely over 30 this time.
As I said, a terrible electoral liability.
You are missing my point spectacularly Sid.
I have not argued his election chances, I have not ridiculed his work as leader of the Party driving them to where they are right now. In fact the collapse of the Economy, FF and the reign of FG - Lab will in fact probably build their numbers further this time as opposed to his leadership skills solely.
But for voters with leftist sway, his history no matter what way itâs dressed up will always hold sway & create doubts. No doubt SF have some very good politicians within their ranks, but I donât think my opinion of Doherty being in command throughout this election would harm them gaining traction with new voters. In fact I believe it would only enhance the partyâs appeal to new voters.
If you say gaining traction one more time ill hunt you down and kill you
In reality @Sidney Gerry is a liability. Heâs a dinosaur with baggage in simple terms. Were he man enough he should bow out and leave the party to the next generation.
That said, theyâre caught between the whiff of sulphur that appeals to the Rastoolers and good-looking, erudite, but politically un-proven youngsters.
Long term the Gerry brand will dissolve and theyâll be back to square1 unless he bows out. They offer nothing in real terms, non-coalition partners, toxic, economic Neanderthals etc.,
Excuse me. Traction is a wonderful term, you once gained traction on your fixie may I remind you.
Our country was been funded by the imf until recently.thats toxic
Hardly toxic FFS. Youâre regressing rapidly. Try addressing Neanderthal.
He has maximised the rastoolers is all. Heâs got each and every one of them out including the ones who didnât even know it was in them.
If they want to reach beyond that Adams must go. Too many normal right thinking citizens canât vote for sf with him at the helm.
@Sidney represents well the cult-like no questioning devotion of the average core SF voter. The leader can never be questioned. The policies can never be questioned. All others are wrong with no merit in anything they say or do. The past being questioned is unacceptable.
As far as im concerned.adams can never be questioned
+1. Adamsâ and Sinn FĂŠinâs achievements in British Occupied Ireland are phenomenal. Theyâre to be lauded and celebrated - this isnât baggage.
Youâre one of those imbeciles who lap up quislings like Martin, Kenny and Bruton point scoring about the troubles. Those parties and successive free state governments were complicit in festering and creating the troubles. They stood back and didnât intervene while this was happening and having them continue to moralise and point score over this will continually decimate them in the border areas.
Iâm pretty sure it will be a FF/FG coalition, then you have like with like and a strong left opposition and a decimated left sellout party. That will change the dynamic going forward.
Not too many over 50âs are going to vote for the Shinners. Not down the country anyway. If they really want to make the breakthrough they will have to put Gerry out to grass.
Itâs about time for it at this stage.
âThe 6â is still technically occupied, SF and Adams have done a shit job up there and the thick Ulster fenians canât see it.
Cunningly sf now get well paid by the brits to administer British austerity
Thatâs something you literally couldnât make up.
We donât need sf in the Republic. We have no enemy and no requirement for guerrilla warfare at this moment in time.
Yatesy does Dublin Bay South
1 FG
1 Green
1 Renua
1 SF.
No seat for Kate OâConnell
