Why didnât he go to the GardaĂ?
@Rocko can you please do up a bluffers guide as to how the votes are counted & distributed during the election count.
What SF candidate is this sick bastard affiliated to?
Michael Noonan of FG.
Opinion Poll today is a bit of a curates egg, with no real good news for any of the major parties, which I why I presume there isnât much comment. My assessment:
FG - major downward trend. Kenny has been fairly average so far. Noticeable that Leo is all over the radio the last day or two upping the âthe recovery is far from a givenâ fear line.
FF - Theyâd expect to be getting more than a point if SF and FG drop 5 points. Still caught in no-mans land regarding their path to government and Micheal is the only senior figure on the airwaves.
SF - 3 point drop isnât great considering they can campaign on change/hope/etc. A trend in the polls is that they are consolidating working class support but losing middle classes/professional classes. There main aim now surely is to get out their core vote. You get the feeling they donât really want to be in government.
LAB - 1 point up offers some hope. Theyâre still in survival mode though and Joan certainly isnât doing them any favours
IND - noticeable that itâs independents where the votes are going rather the smaller parties. Unclear how this plays out around the country.
Fianna Fail are back, baby. Back where we belong.
A great time to get a few bits done lads. Planning, roads, grants etc⌠lift the phone to your local TD.
19% is where you belong. Wonderful.
Donât believe those ridiculous polls⌠the faithful will come out to vote.
Yatesy called my constituency of Dublin Mid-West this morning.
Eoin OâBroin (SF) and Frances Fitzgerald (FG) to take the first two seats.
He gives the third seat to Gino Kenny (AAA/PBP).
Calls the final seat as between John Curran (FF) and Derek Keating (FG) but gives it to Keating on the basis that Lucan will get one TD, and that Joanna Tuffyâs (Lab) transfers will push him over the line.
How are the Green Party expected to do in Fingal?
Iâd have thought given Trevor Sargentâs record of success here that 9/1 on their candidate Joe OâBrien looks overpriced?
1/8 now Danny Healy-Rae to get elected in Kerry, behind only his brother in the pecking order on the betting lists.
Has this fella any political experience? Has he been a counciller? And he only fired his name in the hat two weeks before voting day.
Whereâs Kaiser now? I hope heâs hitching a lift on Enda Kennyâs donkeyâŚ
Madness. No way heâs a 1/8 shot. He only got 4% in the poll TG4 did, well behind a heap of others.
They are just assuming heâll get all the transfers from Michael which he wonât at all.
He was great value when I pointed it out @ 5/2. No way heâs a 1/8 shot. If it was on betfair Iâd lay the shit out of it.
How much over the quota will his idiot brother get?
Sweep Sweep.
Keep chipping into the DOB retirement fund.
