Just watched the debate there. Firstly, Mary Lou would have been a welcome addition. The thing that struck me most though, is how poor Martin was, even though it’s his third GE as leader. Leo was a sitting duck and Martin couldn’t land a blow. Martin now really needs a rebound in the 2nd one and that won’t happen if SF are allowed in. FF have lost momentum after last night, FG steadied the ship and SF were the winners.
No need to drag Austin Stack into it either.

Missed the debate. Thank god. So it seems they had a few playful digs but will eventually go back into supply and confidence? And will forever probably as there will now be a viable slightly left alternative with labour scundered and SF determined to keep the serious criminal element on board.
It was a misstep from them both excluding SF. They should have insisted on her being there. If she was there the two of them and Pat could have used her as a punching bag. As it was, it was just two lads who basically agreed with each other, who couldn’t really land a blow on the other without it blowing back on themselves.

While this country does have a load of people who are fucked, it also has a large cohort who work hard and are doing well. I think you’ll find iits a lot of those people who vote FG.

Yeah, like me. I meant him specifically. He is categorically useless and as shallow as a spoon. He has absolutely nothing to recommend him, and I can’t see how anyone with a brain could adjudge him personally to be a good candidate and give him first preference. Voting for him on the basis of voting the party is at least understandable, if still objectionable.
