You previously outlined things that you thought Eoghan Murphy should have done as Minister.
When I pointed out he had done those things you went off on an irrational rant.
Maybe the people who are voting for him are informed about what he has done in office aren’t just a part of the shrieking brigade who think housing can be solved in two years.
There’s an odd bit of classism when it comes to Minister Murphy.
The Taoiseach is ill today. He was due to be somewhere earlier and I was asked a few days ago if I’d like to meet him. I said I would see how my day was and let them know, thankfully a note came to me first thing to say he was ill. I wasn’t going anyway.
Are you counting yourself in that group? Cos I’d call you a lot of things but 'silent isn’t one of them.

Yes it’s classism. Similar with Varadkar. Goes a long way back in this country. You can’t be a certain type. DeValera knew that for example when he was in power, he wouldn’t go to a rugby game for decades because of it. Cowen went on stage and skulled pints like a mucksavage to give him a bit of appeal to rural types.
Where is the evidence that Murphy is useless? Politically he was the brains behind getting Varadkar in power, effectively winning the race on day one. Rather than take an easy portfolio as a reward (which he could have), he took the toughest one currently. Despite the shrieking out there, he has introduced numerous reforms, including to rid ourselves of environmentally and costly backward regulations like car parking spaces in new developments. He has removed antiquated regulations relating to height. He has pushed the vacant site register through. He even listened to the whingers (wrongly in my view) and brought in Air BnB restrictions and expanded rent pressure zones.
I hear lots of complaints that he hasn’t magicked up houses in two years. It’s bizarre.

All the political leaders are so polished and stage managed there’s no major gaffes any more on the campaign trail or in interviews.
A loon like John Waters is the only hope to liven things up.
