I must check if my Asian Broker of choice has a referral scheme. I’ll clean up if it does
Other plans include:
- Appoint a gambling regulator
- Ban credit card gambling (seems sensible)
- Ban betting companies sponsoring teams and events
The sponsorship one would have a big impact on horse-racing here I’d imagine?
Not too pushed about the in play betting one but those 3 seem like good proposals
Horse racing isn’t really a sport so will get away with it I’d say
There should be a tax on online horse gambling to force people back to the tracks
Good stuff.
They should tax back tracks. A few posters here could keep the country running.
That would be great.
The credit card ban and regulator is a no-brainer and I’d agree wholeheartedly. I’m unsure about the other two.
A few bob to be had in meltdowns also. - especially in play money.
I’d ban offers and I’d give the regulator the power to make the bookie pay out if they find it was a fair bet
Betting on virtual racing should be the first thing they ban.
Would offers be that destructive?
I’d be onboard with banning credit-cards and ensuring bets are paid out if they’re accepted at the time
Would betting on ITF Tennis and HT/FT on the Romanian 2nd Division be classed as fair?
Maybe not offers outright, but the cunts sending you a text offer you enhanced odds that kind of thing. Must be an absolute killer if you’ve a problem.
I find the longer I go without a bet the better the offers get.
Also casinos online should be banned, as should virtual anything
Any bet they take is fair, so long as they can’t prove it to be fixed
It should be a crime to offer a bet that you don’t intend to pay in full.
Punishable by death
Some regulation is required definitely but too far and we’re getting into nanny-state territory
That’d be my fear.
I’ve bet on a heap of sports I haven’t got a clue about just for sport (always incredibly small money).
So long as it’s not outright fixed, it’s ok imo.
