Labour 4.

Deary me.

The debate will work for MLMD because it’ll look like 2 lads trying to bully a woman. Leo has form in the dail against MLMD in this regard

I’d say Ruth Dudley Edwards has some pain in her gee.

We’re in a housing crisis.

No point in voting for a party who specialise in planning irregularities when people can’t even afford to buy a home.

Flesh that out?

OMG.

FG/FF should really go after the Special Criminal Court thing tomorrow. I don’t think it’s a good luck if they’re pushed on it on probably one of the most watched debates in years

I think SF are pretty much bulletproof at this stage in terms of what can be thrown at them. Populist parties don’t tend to suffer from being exposed in debates, those who are going to vote for them can twist anything to justify that vote. Sure FF and their supporters did it for decades.

People just don’t get it… Just like FFG don’t get it. They think people are listening and deciding on the policies

The IT article is very good breaking out by region/age/class etc. Quite a lot of variation when you slice and dice it

I agree on normal policy stuff but I think that one is different

I think FG and FF made a big mistake ruling out going into coalition with SF. It created the perception of a cartel. Conversely, I think SF don’t want to go into coalition or get any of their policies implemented. And I think the SF vote is a vote for them to be the opposition party rather than be in government.

When SF support always tend to be overstated in opinion polls?

Debate tomorrow night will be nasty (expect lots of references to “senior hurling” by political junkies” prior to debate)

In the Missouri Senate election in 2000, one time Presidential hopeful Senator John Ashcroft lost out to the former Democratic Governor Mel Carnahan who passed away a few weeks before polling day.

Surprised at FG holding up ok in Dublin. Even FF are okish on 16 - if they got the same number of TDs in Dublin as the Greens they’ll probably be happy enough.

It’s a strange one though, as groups like the UN Human Rights Commission, Amnesty and assorted other NGOs are all on record as being against non-jury trials so it’s hardly an outrageous policy. But obviously IRA members were tried in that court over the years so wanting to abolish it will be used against them. MLMD has been sitting on the fence saying they plan to review it but there needs to be a coordinated response with more gardai on the ground, investment in education and community programmes etc. I reckon they’ll target this area alright though.

Doherty and English both drifted out to 4th favourites in paddy powers two Meath constituency odds.

FF polling 16% in Dublin, same as the Greens. SF to pick up seats in DBS and Dublin West…
