Yatesy is a busted flush, well and truly.

After the collapse of Celtic bookies you’d think he’s be less boisterous in making these definitive statements.

Sure he was way off the last time as well.

It won’t stop him

I’ve been disappointed with some of the count centre camera work around the country.

Slow to pinpoint where the celebrations are emanating from and the moment has often passed by the time they belatedly get the camera on the wildly yahooing, victorious candidate.

These camera operatives and researchers should be well aware of who’s about to be elected.

Again, unfortunately, it’s an anti-Sinn Féin conspiracy (cc @tallback) in the coverage.

This and the Eurovision are his moments, let him have it.

Good man Gino. Spark up a celebratory doobie there

Fixed

Browne elected for SF in Tipp. Kerrane got the seat in Roscommon earlier.

Kelly and Cahill elected without reaching the quota. Actually scratch that. Surpluses still to be distributed.

Alyward looks done in Carlow/KK another one for the Greens

Ahearn only got just over 400 off Seamus Healy. Done and dusted in Tipperary.

Are SF going to end up with the most seats?

As long as broadcasters pay decent money to people who will throw out semi controversial definitive opinions then he’ll keep doing it.

The election officer in Tipp there used to be a solicitor in Galway with Berwick. He’s putting on a brave face, it was the outgoing minister for justice who appointed him a judge in Clonmel

Informative.

As you’ve alluded to, he’s lost and regained his seat once already (like his auld lad before him) so he’ll probably want to have another go. But Hegarty there to consider now too.

@TreatyStones re your comment about water cooler chat in Dublin offices this morning, in my place we’ve had chat about us all having to emigrate because of SF’s tax proposals and someone saying we won’t have any trade deal with America any more as that’s a country that doesn’t deal with terrorists.
