I think FG want out of government.
I can sense the fear of a wealth tax in the FG lady’s voice/accent.
She is very irate.
Do all the parties now have a bye law whereby any potential coalition has to be passed by a convention of their members?
SF will have 37.
FF 38-40
FG 34-36
FF could even be as low as 36. SF could be the largest party.
This is dependent on FF losing the following:
Clare 2nd seat
Donegal 2nd seat
Dublin North West
Kildare South
Wexford
Wicklow
Cork North Central 2nd seat
I think six of those are likely but they’ll probably get Wicklow.
Will Leo still get the trip to the White House as a lame duck stand in Taoiseach?
Eh, that’s all he’s ever been pal.
I always found Kate O’Connell fairly refreshing for FG, called it as she saw it and shot from the hip. None of the fake sincerity and hubris that I would associate with a lot of their other South Dublin based TDs.
The defriending of Bailey on Facebook in the latter’s hour of need was as South dublin as you’d get…
I’m not going to go googling stuff for you, I’m sure you can find it
I just did a quick Google and the top academic results actually dispute your point saying their is not sufficient evidence to back up this assertion. Plenty of consultancy firms claiming it is the case though pointing to spurious hand picked studies. They would say that though wouldn’t they as they are lining their pockets consulting with companies to increase diversity! Who knows what to believe!
I spit on all FG voters.
…SF and FF voters on Joe Duffy endorsing a SFF coalitionThe people want to be heard and want change.Very angry FG voter on now - says FF ruined the country and people have short memories and are stupid
She’s outraged
I think FG want out of government.
Exactly.
Stint in opposition will suit them. Let FF and SF bicker away, before FG ride back in at the next election.
No appetite among FG to go back in with either of them.
@TreatyStones I’ve taken a proper look there.
I make it
FF 38-40
SF 37
FG 32-34
Ind 21-22
Greens 12-13
PBP 6
Soc Dems 5
Labour 4-5!!!
I don’t think FG will ride back. They’ve reverted to their traditional level of support having been exposed for the vacuous spoofers they are.
That could allow a left government.
4 day weeks. 12 months paternity leave.
A SF/FG/Green coalition is the most viable option here.
In terms of party leaders that would fall along these lines:
Mary Lou McDonald as Taoiseach
Eamon Ryan as Tánaist
Pascl Donohoe as Minister of Finance
Stop will you
SF-Green -FF is the only serious option. The cost for FF will be Meehawls head.
That could allow a left government
They’d need at least 15 independents. Be an awful mess.
Be great fun. Healy Rae in cabinet.
They’d need at least 15 independents. Be an awful mess.
15 junior independent ministers
For a third stint.
They are finished before they even begin.
