General Election 2020 Hub

Alan Kelly on radio now like a scalded cat, even after being re-elected.

Malcolm got transfers from everyone, huge bump from elimination of Adrienne Wallace (PBP) and almost half of John Paul Phelan’s which I was afraid might fall more to his fellow South Kilkenny backwoodsman Bobby.

This was the best election EVER

That would make it 66-67 for the coalition of the willing I reckon.

6 PBP
6 Labour
6 Soc Dems
12-13 Greens
37 SF

Louth

3 O’Dowd FG 10159
4 Fitzpatrick IND 8988
5 Breathnach FF 8771
6 Nash LAB 8638
7 Dearey GREEN 8497

It looks like James Byrne (FF) transferring well to Nash over Dearey - Nash got 844 to Dearey’s 242, has saved Nash - as Dearey’s transfers will surely go to Nash over O’Dowd, Fitzpatrick and Breathnach.

O’Dowd looks safe in 3rd place noow and the final seat should be between Fitzpatrick and Breathnach.

12 Greens again now. Dearey would have made it 13. 6 Soc Dems.

Six Social Democrats

How many left leaning independents are there?

Looks like McAuliffe FF will overhaul Reddy PBP in the final count in Dublin North West. That will guarantee FF a minimum of 37 seats with Louth, Wicklow, Donegal and Sligo Leitrim still in the balance.

Actually Longford-Westmeath 2 and Dublin Bay North aren’t yet guaranteed but they will likely take them.

It was naive more than shady…

Where’s the 37 mom coming from? w
Would say 36.

The real election results will be decided tonight, FF getting 36 will be seismic

One of the best TDs in the Dail.

Boxer Moran still has an outside shot in Longford-Westmeath - but would need to do exceedingly well off Labour and Green transfers because Carrigy FG is Longford and will probably transfer a decent chunk to Flaherty FF who is also Longford.

McNamara, Collins, Connolly…?

Not necessarily. Dearey is Dundalk based (but actually living in Omeath). Breathnach and Fitzpatrick much more local if ideologically at odds . Nash is Drogheda direction

I’ll be devastated for Ged if he’s not elected. Hes a fucking brilliant politician. All over workers rights. Works his hole off for drogheda as well.

When are they announcing where our new free house will be?

Possibly to an extent but the Green vote should be more ideological than local, and Nash doesn’t need to make up much.

Looking at Dublin Bay North, Sean Haughey really does need a decent whack of transfers from Deirdre Heney to stay alive. John Lyons is coming like a train and will probably get ahead of Davd Healy Green. Then Healy’s transfers will break against Haughey. It’s not inconceivable that AOR, Cian O’Callaghan and John Lyons all get in and Haughey loses out.
