General Election 2020 Part 2

If you put the same effort into anything, literally anything at all outside of this internet forum in terms of posts and time spent over the last 10-12 years of your life you’d be an expert etc,

Your aul schtick isnt getting any better though.

Champ is so desperate to get the top job, he’s allowed Leo to completely outfox him here. I would see going second as the advantage, for two reasons. The next few years are likely to be far rougher than 2023/24, leading into the next general election. The party who’s leader is Taoiseach going into the next election is in a far better position to differentiate itself from the other coalition parties.

That’s the great thing about public service, the public may not appreciate it but the service is still carried out. You’ll miss him when he’s gone.

That’s like saying name me a better father than Fred West when the only other option is Fritzl.

You think too much.

Just showing how big he is. Probably fancies a little break while Champ gets all the post Covid fallout in the next two years.

I think there is a strong chance that this will happen.

Will save the country a few million when his PR team are disbanded.

14 years in the park? Retired on full pension in his mid 50’s

Be foolish to disband it, needed more than ever now.

Is that meant to be sarcastic? “Ross told the Dáil in 2018 the cork office is opening shortly”?

I don’t think legal limbo is the major issue.

When the facts change I change my mind, what do you do sir?

He may as well stay in Farmleigh.

Dublin West could have 3 ministers in this next government, albeit one being Jack Chambers.

So you’re saying that you’d willingly live in both households then.

Odd.

She only negotiated one department though. She wasn’t involved in the other areas and wasn’t leading the negotiations.

Of the dissenters, Hourigan is the one most of the others would have most time for I think. She’s been consistent.

I’m not saying that.

Yes, you are.

Couple of points on this one.
Parties in government generally tend to lose support during their time. Fg have gained a lot due to their perceived handling of covid. That’s a different debate for another thread. With ff languishing at 14%, Martin does not want to be the only ff leader never to be Taoiseach" . My hunch is once he has his term done, he wont give a fuck if fg pull the p,ug after two years. He’s fulfilled his objective

I think FF are in such bad shape they think the only way is up so they might as well stay relevant by being in government. A quick election would destroy them.
